On September 12, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Center for Science, Technology and Young Talent Development announced the list of Top 20 outstanding young scientists of the Golden Globe Science and Technology Award 2025.
In 2025, the Golden Globe Science and Technology Award will be launched, accepting applications from May 26 to August 1, 2025.
After more than 2 months, the award's standing unit has received 96 applications on the Award's online registration system from 41 agencies, units, universities, research institutes, enterprises nationwide and the Vietnamese Embassy, Vietnamese Youth and Student Associations abroad.
The number of valid applications in 2025 is 83, an increase of 21 applications compared to 2024 (62 applications).
The Council will hold its second meeting scheduled for late September 2025 to select the 10 best faces to receive the 2025 Golden Globe Science and Technology Awards.
According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, in 2025, the number of applications for the Award will increase sharply, with good and consistent quality in achievement categories such as patents/utility solutions, many publications in prestigious international journals and conferences, and many practical application products.
Most of the application documents are carefully prepared, complete, clear and clearly differentiated by field group.
Notably, 22/83 candidates have participated in the Award in previous years, 26 Vietnamese candidates are studying and working in countries with developed science and technology in the world .
The participation of the 2025 candidates shows the attraction and prestige of the Golden Globe Science and Technology Award, and the determination to pursue long-term research goals of young Vietnamese scientists around the world.
The Golden Globe Science and Technology Award is chaired by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, in coordination with the Ministry of Science and Technology, annually to discover and honor outstanding young talents under 35 years old, studying, conducting scientific research, and working at home and abroad in 5 fields: information technology, digital transformation and automation; medical and pharmaceutical technology; biotechnology; environmental technology; new material technology./.
