Cua Ong Ward Trade Union: Striving to develop at least 1,500 union members

On the afternoon of October 21, in Cua Ong ward, the Cua Ong ward Trade Union held its first Congress for the 2025-2030 term. Attending and directing the Congress were leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor; representatives of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee of Cua Ong ward and more than 100 delegates representing over 4,300 union members of the entire ward.

During the 2023-2025 term, the Ward Trade Union and grassroots trade unions have closely followed the direction of the Party Committee, the government, the Fatherland Front and the Provincial Federation of Labor to effectively implement key tasks. In particular, the grassroots trade unions proactively coordinated with employers to effectively implement the grassroots democracy regulations, organize workers' conferences, and participate in building internal rules and regulations of enterprises. Up to now, the whole ward has 20/44 enterprises signing collective labor agreements with many provisions beneficial to employees.

The ward union has focused on taking care of the lives and welfare of union members, typically implementing the programs "Tet Sum Vay", "Welfare for Union members", activities during Workers' Month, giving gifts to children of employees on Children's Day, Mid-Autumn Festival... with a total welfare value of about 850 million VND. Employees have had 180 initiatives and technical improvements recognized, making a profit of more than 5.3 billion VND.

Entering the 2025-2030 term, the Congress determined the general goal of building a strong, professional and effective trade union organization; enhancing the representative role, caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights of union members and workers; contributing to building Cua Ong ward to develop richly, civilized and modernly, becoming a key locality of the province in marine economy , processing and manufacturing industry, coal mining, electricity, logistics and spiritual tourism.

The Congress set out a number of specific targets to strive for by the end of 2030, developing at least 1,500 union members; 100% of enterprises with 25 or more employees establishing trade union organizations; 100% of trade union officials studying and thoroughly understanding the resolution; at least 87% of employees having access to information, policies and laws; 82% of grassroots trade unions applying information technology, gradually digitalizing in operations...

Leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor and the Party Committee of Cua Ong Ward presented flowers to congratulate the Executive Committee of the Cua Ong Ward Trade Union, term 2025-2030, on their introduction to the Congress.

At the Congress, the first Executive Committee of the Cua Ong Ward Trade Union, term 2025-2030, consisting of 7 comrades was announced according to the appointment decision. Comrade Bui Thi Ha was trusted to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Cua Ong Ward Trade Union.

The Congress called on all union members and workers to continue promoting the spirit of solidarity, creativity, actively competing in labor production, contributing to the successful implementation of local socio-economic development goals.
