A recent Samsung survey of 1,840 respondents from Brazil, India, Italy, Korea, Thailand and the United States found that 44.6% (820 people) preferred WindFree air conditioners, with 58% citing “providing a comfortable sleep” as the main reason for choosing WindFree.
This result shows that more and more consumers expect air conditioners to not only have a simple cooling function, but also provide features that meet other user needs in all situations.
In addition, the survey also showed that air conditioning is used mainly before and after sleeping. Nearly 48% of participants use air conditioning from 9 pm until bedtime, 42% of users use it throughout sleep.
WindFree air conditioners are popular for their advanced design that allows air to be evenly distributed through 23,000 micro-vents. When the room temperature reaches the required level, the machine automatically switches to WindFree mode, cooling gently and evenly without causing discomfort due to cold air blowing directly on the skin, creating ideal conditions for a deep sleep.
“Energy savings compared to normal mode” is the second reason why users prefer WindFree air conditioners. As energy savings become more important and more popular, the survey results show that this technology meets consumers’ needs for reduced energy consumption.
In WindFree mode, power consumption is reduced by up to 77% compared to the fast cooling mode, helping to save significantly on electricity bills during peak summer periods. In addition, survey participants also chose this type of air conditioner because of its ability to “cool evenly” by 50%, “minimize body irritation” by 48% and “automatic cooling by AI” mode at 44%.
“Since its launch, the WindFree air conditioner has been highly appreciated by users around the world ,” said Byoungha Song, Director of Air Solution Product Strategy at Samsung Electronics’ Home Appliances Business. “We will continue to provide innovative, modern products that provide personalized care for every family.”
