La Liga president Javier Tebas has once again hit back at Vinicius, saying La Liga and Spain are not racist. The La Liga president took to social media to clarify that this is not a case of racism.

Javier Tebas assured that "neither Spain nor La Liga is racist", in response to a message from Vinicius, in which the Madrid Brazilian said the league's image was "shaky" and that the president, instead of criticizing racists, turned to attack him.

"Instead of criticizing racists, the president of La Liga appears on social media to attack me. No matter how much he talks and pretends not to read, the image of his league is shaken," the striker replied in a tweet to Tebas on Sunday night, after the incident at Mestalla, where the striker identified a fan who insulted him from the stands and referee Ricardo de Burgos Bengoechea activated the anti-racism protocol.

The president of LaLiga once again responded publicly to the Madrid striker and his accusations with four points in his argument. "Neither Spain nor LaLiga is racist, it's unfair to say so."

"In La Liga, we denounce and prosecute racist behaviour with all the rigour in our power. Nine racist insults have been reported this season (eight of which were directed at Vinicius). We always identify the perpetrators and send complaints to the sanctioning bodies. It doesn't matter how few there are, we always act relentlessly."

Finally, Tebas defended the measures being taken in La Liga, namely the increased presence of workers at stadiums to report insults and disrespect towards the opposition and to record any incidents that occur in the stands. The presence of staff at matches in Madrid has been doubled after the Vinícius incident in several cities.

"We cannot allow this to tarnish the image of a competition that is above all a symbol of unity between peoples, where more than 200 black players in 42 clubs receive the respect and affection of all fans every matchday, where racism is an extremely serious issue, cases that we will eradicate."

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez met Vinicius on Monday morning at the Valdebebas training ground to express his support and inform Vinicius that the club will sue those responsible for the racist insults.

President Florentino Perez explained to Vinicius the steps the club had taken to denounce the fans who had insulted him. According to EFE, Vinicius was in his worst mood since arriving at the club.

Mr. Perez explained the club's decisions. The complaints were filed with the State Prosecutor's Office as a private prosecution after filing a complaint against hate crimes and discrimination.

Los Blancos wrote on Twitter: "The Real Madrid president met with Vinicius to express his support and affection, to inform him of all the steps taken to protect the player and to confirm that the club will go to any lengths to fight against such a hateful and disgusting incident."
