Today, Ngan Vang has no poor households, and the village has been recognized as a model new rural village. People's lives are increasingly prosperous: not only do they have enough food and clothing, but many households can also buy cars, build spacious houses, and their children can receive a full education. In 2024, the village's average income per capita will reach 53 million VND.

That result is the result of a persistent and tenacious process: from the correct orientation of the local government when choosing cinnamon as the direction for economic development; the dynamism, creativity, daring to think and act of exemplary and pioneering party members; to the determination and aspiration to rise up of each Dao ethnic group on this land.
At the beginning of each new year, Ngan Vang village coordinates to review the causes of poverty and the level of shortage of basic social services according to the actual situation. From there, take advantage of support from national target programs, projects and policies of the province to build specific, suitable and feasible plans to support poor households to escape poverty.
The village also mobilized the participation of party members, clan leaders, and prestigious people to actively carry out propaganda work, encourage and remind descendants in the clan and villagers to improve their lives so as not to be inferior to neighboring clans and villages.

For households without houses, relatives and villagers are mobilized to help with labor and contribute money to build houses. For households without livelihoods, knowledge is supported and loans are given to buy plants, seeds, fertilizers, etc.
Secretary of the Party Cell of Ngan Vang Village - Trieu Ton Yet shared: As a cadre and party member, I must be a pioneer and a role model. Only then can I mobilize the people to actively participate and respond. Therefore, for many years now, when the cinnamon growing model has proven its economic efficiency, I and the party members in the Party Cell have actively mobilized people not to leave bare land and bare hills but to cover them with this crop.
The Party cell also assigned party members to monitor, guide, urge, and help each poor household, promote the pioneering spirit, set an example, speak first, act first, and be willing to share accumulated experiences and knowledge, create trust and motivation for people to learn and follow, change the method of planting and caring for cinnamon in a scientific direction, help cinnamon trees grow well, and bring high economic efficiency.
Currently, 76/76 households in Ngan Vang grow cinnamon. Large households have 10-20 hectares, small households grow 2-3 hectares. The whole village has up to 500 hectares of cinnamon, of which 300 hectares have been harvested, the average annual income from cinnamon trees reaches over 10 billion VND, helping many households escape poverty, bringing the poverty rate in the village to 0%.

Mr. Ban Kim Minh used to be a poor household in the village, but now he has built a new house and officially escaped poverty in 2024 thanks to 2 hectares of cinnamon.
Mr. Minh shared: After being propagandized and mobilized, I understood the cause of poverty, which gave me more motivation to rise up. I tried to wake up earlier, do more work and diligently learn from those who did it before. After 2 harvests of cinnamon, I escaped poverty, built a new house, and stabilized my family's life.
From a poor countryside, Ngan Vang village has more and more households earning from several hundred million to billions of dong each year from cinnamon. Many solid, spacious high-rise houses, worth several billion dong, are painted in bright colors among the green forest of Ngan Vang.

Now there are no longer bumpy, muddy dirt roads when it rains, instead 100% of inter-village roads and alleys are concreted, flat, spacious, making travel and trade easier for people. Electricity and clean water systems have been invested, leading to each household.
People live in harmony, support each other in work and life, together build a healthy cultural environment, free of social evils. For many years, the village has been recognized as a "Cultural Village", the rate of cultural households reaching over 90%.
It is the consensus and solidarity of the whole community that has created a great strength for Ngan Vang to now "change its skin" and develop in the middle of the great forest.
