People's Artist Khai Hung's full name is Nguyen Khai Hung, born on November 18, 1948 in Hanoi , graduated from the Physics Department, Hanoi Pedagogical University 2. After working as a teacher for a short time, he switched to programming and worked at a research institute. In 1979, he attended the first Directing class of Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema.

In 1982, he released Nguoi Thanh Pho, the first tape film of Vietnamese television. The doctor diagnosed a corneal hemorrhage and scheduled a follow-up appointment, but he did not go on time because of his busy filming schedule.

After completing the film, People's Artist Khai Hung returned to the hospital but his right eye was already covered with corneal scarring and could no longer be saved.
