Da Nang's domestic revenue in 8 months reached 77.4% of the estimate.

Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh and Head of Taxation of Da Nang City Bui Khanh Toan co-chaired the conference.

According to the report at the conference, domestic revenue in the first 8 months of 2025 in Da Nang city reached 31,926 billion VND, equal to 77.4% of the estimate and increased by 20.5% over the same period in 2024. This result shows that the city's production and business activities continue to grow.

Of which, land use fee revenue was nearly VND3,500 billion, reaching 71.4% of the estimate and increasing 104.2% over the same period; revenue from taxes, fees, charges and other budget revenues was VND28,427 billion, reaching 78.2% of the estimate and increasing 114.7% over the same period.

The work of preventing State budget losses has been focused on. In 8 months, the entire city tax department completed 1,226/2,105 inspections, achieving 58.2% of the inspection task assigned by the Tax Department. The total amount of money recommended for handling through inspections was 722 million VND.

From now until the end of 2025, Da Nang Tax will continue to closely follow the direction of the Ministry of Finance , the Tax Department, the City Party Committee, and the City People's Committee in implementing the task of collecting the budget and preventing state budget losses in 2025. Thereby, implementing management measures and exploiting revenue increases for a number of areas with large room for growth.

At the meeting, representatives of wards and communes discussed difficulties in budget collection and expenditure after implementing two-level local government; at the same time, proposed solutions to make local budget collection and expenditure more convenient and effective in the coming time.

Concluding the conference, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh requested wards and communes to submit expenditure estimates; wards and communes with large revenues to report additional expenditure tasks.

Regarding the budget revenue exceeding the estimate in the ward and commune areas, which is different from the target assigned by the People's Council of Da Nang City (old) and Quang Nam Province (old) in early 2025, Da Nang Tax and the Department of Finance have reported to the City People's Committee to ask for guidance from the Ministry of Finance.

The city tax continues to direct grassroots units to closely monitor the budget collection progress, analyze and forecast the situation and impacts on budget revenue in the area, promptly deploy implementation solutions, and strive to complete and exceed the 2025 collection task.

Regarding the 2026 budget revenue estimate, the city will develop a plan to decentralize revenue sources and appropriate spending tasks for each locality.

* On the same afternoon, Da Nang Tax worked with Vietnam Payment Solutions Joint Stock Company (VN Pay) on a solution to manage revenue from payment transactions via VNPay-QR.

The two sides discussed digital transformation solutions to prevent loss of state budget revenue, focusing on solutions on corporate income tax or personal income tax for enterprises, households and individuals doing business.

Previously, the City People's Committee and VN-Pay exchanged a memorandum of understanding on strategic cooperation at the "Vietnam Financial Forum 2025" organized by the City People's Committee in coordination with the Central Policy and Strategy Committee on August 28.

According to the minutes, the two sides will cooperate to provide advanced digital payment solutions, products and services to organizations, businesses and individuals providing goods and services in Da Nang.

At the same time, the two sides will coordinate in communication, promotion, training and guidance on the use of digital payment solutions, to ensure that people and businesses can access and benefit from technology.
