Congress of the Provincial People's Police Veterans Association for the 2023-2028 term

On January 15, 2024, the People's Committee of Dien Bien province issued Decision No. 72/QD-UBND on allowing the establishment of the Dien Bien Provincial Former Police Association. This is a social organization, operating in accordance with the provisions of law and the association's charter, under the state management of the Provincial Police and relevant state agencies. The Provincial Former Police Association was established to gather and unite members who are generations of former police officers, continuing to preserve and promote the fine traditions of the People's Public Security force. The Association protects the legitimate rights and interests of its members; effectively implements policies for former police officers; organizes care and helps members improve their health, material and spiritual life, and develop family economy. At the same time, it contributes opinions to Party committees at all levels, authorities and local police on implementing the policies of the Party and State, ensuring political security, and maintaining social order and safety.

Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong presented souvenirs to the Association of Former Police Officers of Dien Bien province for the 2023-2028 term.

The congress was attended by nearly 130 official delegates representing more than 500 former police officers in the province. The congress elected 13 comrades to the Executive Committee, Chairman, Vice Chairman and Inspection Committee for the 2023-2028 term. At the first meeting, the Executive Committee elected 3 comrades to the Standing Committee. Colonel Nguyen Hung Thao, former Deputy Director of Dien Bien Provincial Police, was elected as Chairman of the Provincial Former Police Officers Association; Colonel Nguyen Manh Hung, former Head of PC10 of the Provincial Police, was elected as Vice Chairman of the Association. The congress also approved the direction, tasks and work program for the 2023-2028 term.

The Executive Committee of the Dien Bien Provincial Police Veterans Association, term 2023-2028, was introduced at the congress.
Major General Vu Hung Vuong, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Former People's Public Security Officers, presented a souvenir to the Association of Former People's Public Security Officers of Dien Bien province for the 2023-2028 term.

In his congratulatory speech at the Congress, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Quoc Cuong acknowledged the important contributions of the former provincial police force in the cause of national construction and defense. The Provincial Party Committee Secretary emphasized: The establishment of the Dien Bien Provincial Police Force Veterans Association is a very important political event, a milestone in building a unified organizational system to gather, unite, and motivate generations of former police officers to continue to preserve and promote the heroic and glorious tradition of the Vietnam People's Public Security Force. To effectively carry out the Association's tasks in the coming time, the Provincial Police Force Veterans Association is requested to seriously and strictly comply with the Party's regulations, the State's laws and the Charter of the Vietnam Police Force Veterans Association. Urgently perfect the organization and apparatus, develop operating regulations to implement in accordance with regulations. Proactively provide flexible and creative solutions for the Association to operate actively and effectively. Focus on building a clean and strong Provincial Police Force Veterans Association in terms of politics, ideology and organization; excellently complete assigned tasks, contribute to ensuring security and order in the locality and build a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite and modern Dien Bien Police force. Members are requested to uphold their sense of responsibility and enthusiasm; promote their knowledge and work experience to continue contributing to educating traditions and inspiring future generations in building and defending the Fatherland.
