The 1st Patriotic Emulation Congress of Quang Ngai province (2025-2030)

On the morning of August 25, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ngai province organized the first Patriotic Emulation Congress (2025-2030) to summarize the emulation movement in the period of 2020-2025, and set out directions and tasks for the new period. This is an important political and social event, marking a new step of development after the merger of Quang Ngai and Kon Tum provinces.

Attending the Congress were Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of U Huan province; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Emulation and Reward Council Nguyen Hoang Giang; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Dinh Thi Hong Minh; former leaders of the province through the periods; comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee; Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the Armed Forces and leaders of departments, branches and localities in the province.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Emulation and Reward Council Nguyen Hoang Giang delivered the opening speech of the Congress.

Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Emulation and Reward Council Nguyen Hoang Giang emphasized that the Congress is an opportunity to look back at the achievements, limitations and lessons from the emulation movements of the past 5 years, and at the same time determine the goals and solutions to make emulation truly become a driving force for socio -economic development, ensuring national defense and security.

Over the past 5 years, Quang Ngai and the former Kon Tum have launched many widespread emulation movements, achieving remarkable results: GRDP increased by an average of 7.3%/year, average income per capita reached nearly 55 million VND; infrastructure was invested synchronously; key products, especially Ngoc Linh ginseng and precious medicinal herbs, gradually penetrated the international market. Culture and society have changed a lot, social security is guaranteed, political security is stable.

Former provincial leaders of all periods and delegates attending the Congress

With their contributions to the patriotic emulation movements in recent times, many collectives, individuals, Party Committees, authorities and people in the province have been awarded by the Party and State with the titles of Hero of the People's Armed Forces, Hero of Labor, many Medals, Emulation Flags of the Government, Certificates of Merit of the Prime Minister and other forms of commendation. The Party and State awarded the First Class Labor Medal to the Party Committee, authorities and people of Quang Ngai province on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Provincial Liberation Day (March 24, 1975 - March 24, 2025).

Comrade Vo Van Quynh, former member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, former Chairman of the Provincial Party Inspection Committee, was awarded the Second Class Labor Medal.

Provincial leaders awarded certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for the period 2020-2025.

Speaking at the Congress, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee U Huan commended 184 typical and advanced collectives and individuals; at the same time, emulating patriotism is the driving force for development, arousing the spirit of solidarity and the desire to rise up. In the new context, Quang Ngai needs to take advantage of regional connectivity, especially the East-West economic corridor and key traffic routes, to create momentum for rapid and sustainable development. The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested all levels and sectors to continue to innovate emulation movements, focusing on the grassroots level, associated with science and technology, digital transformation; ensuring timely, public and transparent rewards.

In his closing speech at the Congress, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Emulation and Reward Council Nguyen Hoang Giang affirmed that the success of the Congress was the result of the efforts and struggles of cadres, party members, armed forces and people of the ethnic groups in Quang Ngai and Kon Tum in the past; the attention and leadership of the Central Government, Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee; along with the sense of responsibility of the Organizing Committee and nearly 200 excellent delegates from the grassroots.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested all levels, sectors and localities to continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws on emulation and rewards; at the same time, focus on propagating and educating the tradition of patriotism, solidarity and aspiration to rise up, making the emulation movement a widespread revolutionary action in the entire Party, people and army. The movements need to innovate content and form, strongly focus on the grassroots, associated with science and technology development and digital transformation.

Provincial leaders visit booths displaying OCOP products

All levels and sectors need to boldly launch emulation campaigns associated with the province's key tasks such as infrastructure construction, urban development, participation in the 4.0 Industrial Revolution, improving the investment environment, innovation, and startups. Thereby, creating momentum for Quang Ngai to develop rapidly and sustainably, promoting the tradition of solidarity, creativity, and humanity.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee called on the entire Party, army and people in the province to continue promoting heroic traditions, stepping up patriotic emulation movements, and successfully achieving the goal of building Quang Ngai into an increasingly prosperous and civilized province.
