On September 5, Colonel Khuc Thanh Du, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Commander of the Provincial Military Command, inspected the work of preventing storm No. 3 in Co To district.
In the face of the storm that may hit Co To island district, the district has assigned working groups to be in charge of the communes and towns. The district's working groups and functional forces continue to closely monitor the assigned areas, focusing on controlling key locations with high risk of landslides, households at risk of roofs being blown off or flooded to proactively prepare plans when necessary. Vehicles, equipment, supplies and PCTT-TKCN forces maintain strict duty, ready to respond when necessary.
During the inspection, Colonel Khuc Thanh Du, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, requested Co To district, units and armed forces in the area to actively and proactively follow the "4 on-site" motto (on-site command; on-site forces; on-site means and materials and on-site logistics); promptly deploy flood and storm prevention and crop inundation prevention; call on boats to safely come ashore to avoid storms, and evacuate people from aquaculture facilities. At the same time, check the entire sea area to clearly understand the number of boats avoiding storms, ensuring safety for people and vehicles.
He requested that forces must always be ready and respond as quickly and as early as possible to any accidents or incidents that may occur, minimizing the loss of life and property caused by storm No. 3.
