Dak Lak: Voters in ethnic minority areas place their trust and expectations on the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly

The 10th session of the 15th National Assembly opened this morning at the National Assembly House. This is a meeting to discuss and decide on many important issues related to socio-economic development and the improvement of the legal system. Dak Lak voters expect the National Assembly to continue to issue breakthrough policies for ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

Dak Lak is a place where 49 ethnic groups live together. The ethnic groups here always promote the tradition of solidarity, hard work, and attachment to build an increasingly developed homeland. Voters expect the National Assembly to continue to have comprehensive policies, suitable to the characteristics of the region, to promote the potential of agriculture , tourism, and culture; at the same time, strengthen the great national unity bloc, creating a foundation for sustainable development.

In that common belief, people's representatives expressed their thoughts, recommendations and expectations to the Tenth Session, demonstrating their sense of responsibility and aspiration to contribute to the country's development.

Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ea Kao Ward, H' Huong Bkrong said : As a representative of the people's voice, I hope that the National Assembly will continue to issue breakthrough policies for ethnic minority areas, especially in infrastructure development, education , health care, sustainable poverty reduction and improving the material and spiritual life of the people.

I hope the National Assembly will pay attention to investing in rural transport, electricity, water and telecommunications systems, creating favorable conditions for production, daily life and access to information for the people. In addition, it is necessary to expand vocational training programs, support ethnic minority youth to start their own businesses locally, and encourage the promotion of internal strength and the spirit of self-reliance.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front of the ward will continue to promote its role of supervision, social criticism, mobilizing people to unite and participate in building a strong Party and government, contributing to consolidating the great national unity bloc as a solid foundation for sustainable development, so that no one is left behind.

Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Ea Knuec Y Commune Dear Kbuor, said: With the economic characteristics mainly based on agriculture, people hope that the National Assembly and the Government will have specific policies to develop sustainable agriculture, adapt to climate change, help people feel secure in investing in production and increase the value of agricultural products.

Voters expect more preferential credit sources, transfer of technical advances, encouragement of production-consumption linkage models between farmers and enterprises, forming sustainable value chains. Along with that, it is necessary to invest in developing the processing industry, building brands for key products such as coffee, durian, pepper, associated with green - clean - safe standards, to enhance the competitiveness of Vietnamese agricultural products.

If properly cared for, agriculture in ethnic minority areas will transform strongly, develop more modernly and effectively, contributing significantly to stabilizing life, eliminating hunger and reducing poverty and building sustainable new rural areas.

Head of the Community Tourism Group of Tơ̆ng Jŭ village (Ea Kao ward) H'Yam Bkrông shared: As a person directly participating in community tourism activities, I hope the National Assembly and the Government will pay attention to strengthening policies to support tourism development associated with preserving national culture, considering this a sustainable direction, both preserving identity and creating livelihoods for people.

Currently, the infrastructure in the villages and hamlets has basically met the needs, but people still lack the knowledge and skills to do professional tourism. We hope to open more training courses, equipping communication skills, guiding, promoting products, along with support for the preservation of brocade weaving, gong cultural space, and traditional cuisine.

According to the Head of the Community Tourism Group of Tơ̆ng Jŭ village (Ea Kao ward) H'Yam Bkrông, when given attention and invested in the right direction, community tourism will become a driving force for socio-economic development, contributing to preserving the national cultural identity and promoting the image of the friendly and hospitable people of the Central Highlands, contributing to the whole country's successful implementation of sustainable development goals.
