HarmonyOS Next is Huawei's first operating system built independently of Android. It will initially run on current and future Huawei devices in China, while an international version will also be available soon. Huawei says HarmonyOS Next can run on a wide range of devices, from smartphones to wearables, smart home devices, and car cockpits.

It is known that there are 15,000 applications and services currently available on HarmonyOS Next and the number will increase in the future. HarmonyOS Next comes with a refreshed intuitive interface, allowing users to customize the lock screen and home screen. The control center area is redesigned, while the animation and application launch speed are also optimized. In addition, HarmonyOS Next also integrates a system of useful AI features on the Pangu language model.
