Strengthening propaganda activities on protecting sea and island sovereignty

VHO - Over the years, Hoang Sa Exhibition House (Da Nang) has promoted its role as a destination for specialized activities, a place for sightseeing, learning, meaningful experiences and effective propaganda about sea and island sovereignty, especially for the young generation.

As of June 30, 2025, Hoang Sa Exhibition House has welcomed 19,614 visitors, an increase of 22.54 compared to 2024.

Of these, pupils, students and youths account for the highest proportion at 63.5%; officials, civil servants and armed forces account for 10.4%; tourists, households and other groups of guests account for 26.1%; and at the same time, many other important international diplomatic delegations are welcomed.

The exhibition aims to promote innovation in content and communication forms, focusing on interactive activities and experiences associated with technology, targeting young people. The check-in program "A strip of mountains and rivers - Millions of hearts towards the sea" attracted nearly 1,000 visitors on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South.

Many meaningful experiential activities for students were organized on the occasion of the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19) and International Museum Day (May 18), such as: "Who will be the winner?", "A day as a young tour guide", " Exploring the ocean with you", "Pieces of the homeland".

Promote technology applications and digital transformation to promote to tourists

The media program “Press - A bridge connecting remote islands” (June 17-27) with more than 1,000 press publications, a digital experience area, virtual reality and the contest “A day as a reporter” has also received widespread attention from young people. Multi-platform communication is enhanced through websites, fanpages, TikTok and close cooperation with major press agencies.

Not only welcoming guests on-site, Hoang Sa Exhibition House also promotes mobile exhibitions at educational institutions in Da Nang city. Coordinate with the Political Department, Naval Region 3 Command and Da Nang City Youth Union to participate in major events, such as "Quang Ngai Tourism - the attraction of heritage and identity" in Ly Son island district, Cau Ngu Festival 2025 in Thanh Khe district...

On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the Party's founding and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Da Nang City (March 29), the unit introduced and displayed many documents and information about Hoang Sa and Truong Sa through the exhibition "Da Nang - Development and Integration", participated in the flower car parade and flower boat competition to strongly spread messages about Vietnam's sovereignty over seas and islands.

In the first 6 months of 2025, Hoang Sa Exhibition House has promoted the collection and documentation work with more than 60 thematic articles, 150 newspaper files and 70 images from official press channels at home and abroad; received 151 French documents, of which 40 documents have been translated and analyzed in depth, effectively serving the work of exhibition, research and propaganda. In addition, many valuable artifacts have also been added to the archive, including geological maps, publications and military uniforms donated by the Naval Region 3 Command.

The unit also implemented research on a project to build a collection of marine biological samples in Da Nang, serving the display and research work at Hoang Sa Exhibition House; linking ecosystem conservation with protecting sea and island sovereignty.
