Dell Technologies (NYSE: DELL) announced new additions to its industry-leading, trusted server portfolio that deliver higher performance and greater energy efficiency to meet the needs of every enterprise Dell PowerEdge server deployment.
Designed with flexibility in mind, the new Dell PowerEdge servers offer energy-efficient configurations that simplify operations for organizations ranging from small to large CSPs, small business owners, and edge businesses. With improved performance on the new servers, businesses will have the processing power to run a wide range of applications.
The Dell PowerEdge R670 and R770 CSP Edition servers provide cloud service providers with optimized performance for handling high-performance, large-scale cloud applications, including virtualization and data analytics. The Dell PowerEdge T160 and R260 servers provide compact computing solutions, suitable for small businesses and branch offices looking for powerful, high-density configurations.
The stackable T160 servers are nearly half the size (42%) of the previous generation, saving physical space and reducing carbon footprint by using more sustainable materials, including an unpainted metal chassis. Both servers use the Intel Xeon E-2400 Processor, delivering twice the performance of the previous generation.
The Dell PowerEdge R670 CSP Edition and R770 CSP Edition servers will be available globally to select qualified Cloud Service Providers from July 2024. The Dell PowerEdge T160 and Dell PowerEdge R260 servers will be available globally from May 2024.
