According to the plan, by 2030 Thanh Ha district will have 2 urban areas.

The planning adjustment is to be consistent and synchronized with the plan to arrange commune-level administrative units for the 2023-2025 period and the 2026-2030 period in the province, approved by the Provincial Party Standing Committee in Notice No. 1123-TB/TU dated July 28, 2023.

Accordingly, by 2030 Thanh Ha district will have 2 urban areas. Thanh Ha town is oriented to expand the urban space of type V, including the entire current Thanh Ha town and Thanh Khe commune merged into it. Orientation of urban planning and classification according to type V urban criteria for the area of Tan An-Thanh Hai communes.

According to the new orientation on spatial organization of the district, area 1 is the expanded Thanh Ha town, the center of politics , administration, culture - sports, commercial services, urban public works system. Adjust the planning from 3 concentrated green park areas to 1 area in Thanh Khe (expanded Thanh Ha town). Adjust the planning of no public area - square in the area bordering Thanh Xa commune.

Zone 2 includes part of Hong Lac commune, Cam Che, Tan An, Tan Viet and Thanh Hai communes, developing new residential areas, new urban areas and services and commerce along provincial roads 390 and 390B.

Zone 3 develops eco-tourism combined with agricultural conservation and organic agriculture in Thanh Xuan commune, part of Lien Mac and Thanh Xa communes.

Zone 4 focuses on concentrated agricultural production, commercial services and high-tech industry in the communes of Thanh Lang, Thanh An, Viet Hong, Thanh Son, Thanh Thuy, An Phuong, Thanh Quang, Thanh Hong, Thanh Cuong, Vinh Lap... Adjusting the area of the Huong River eco-tourism functional area from 863ha to 480ha. Planning a golf course combined with services and tourism in the soi area of Thanh Hai commune...

Thanh Ha simultaneously adjusted the planning orientation according to the criteria of type V urban areas for the communes of Hong Lac, Cam Che and Tan Viet.

Orienting population development to 2030, Thanh Ha district adjusted the planning to reduce some urban and rural residential areas in the communes of Tan An, Thanh Hai, Tan Viet, Cam Che, Hong Lac, Thanh Lang, An Phuong, Thanh Thuy, Thanh Quang, Vinh Lap and Thanh Hong. Accordingly, the forecast demand for urban and rural land use is about 528 hectares.
