Ms. Hoang Thi Hang, Vice President of the Trade Union of Lang Son Construction and Traffic Joint Stock Company, said: The company currently has 54 union members and workers, whose main task is to survey, design and supervise road traffic infrastructure projects. Due to the nature of the job, which requires constant travel, taking care of the lives and spirits of union members is always of special concern to the company's leaders and Trade Union.
Every year, the Union Executive Board always closely coordinates with the company's leaders to develop plans with specific activities; organize and launch emulation movements and organize departments in the company to sign emulation agreements. This is the basis for creating trust and common motivation, towards the sustainable development of the unit.
Along with launching and signing emulation movements, the company's Trade Union has done a good job of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests, and taking care of the lives of union members and employees. Accordingly, 100% of union members and employees are entitled to salary, bonus, and social insurance regimes according to regulations. The company has signed a contract with the Provincial Rehabilitation Hospital to organize full periodic health check-ups for all union members. On average, each year, the cost for activities to ensure health and occupational safety for union members and employees of the company is about 100 million VND.
Every year, the Trade Union also organizes seminars on March 8 and October 20 for female union members; organizes and gives gifts to union members' children on the occasion of Children's Day and Mid-Autumn Festival; organizes tours and travels for union members; supports sick union members and employees to support union members in difficult circumstances. From 2024 to now, the company's union has participated in many campaigns, plans, appeals, and programs launched by all levels to carry out social work with a total amount of over 220 million VND.
The union's attention has created great motivation for workers. Mr. Nguyen Huu Thanh, a union member of the company, said: "The company regularly creates conditions for me to receive training to improve my professional qualifications. The company always focuses on salary and welfare for workers. Thanks to that, I always feel secure in working and contributing to the company."
Commenting on the activities of the trade union at Lang Son Construction and Building Materials Joint Stock Company, Ms. Hoang Ngoc Thuy, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation, Deputy Head of the Trade Union Work Committee, Provincial Fatherland Front Committee said: “In recent times, the Trade Union of Lang Son Construction and Building Materials Joint Stock Company has performed its role well, not only protecting the rights of union members but also connecting and building corporate culture. In particular, by working closely with enterprises to launch key movements such as "Good workers, creative workers"; activities on the occasion of Workers' Month and Month of Action on occupational safety and hygiene... The Trade Union has ignited a flame of enthusiastic emulation, thereby constantly improving the quality of the team of union members and employees, helping employees to be steadfast in their expertise and have a long-term commitment to the company".
Every year, the rate of union members achieving the title of excellent worker of the company is always above 95%. In the past 5 years, the company's Trade Union has been evaluated, classified and recognized as strong and excellent. Typically, in 2024, the company's Trade Union was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Executive Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation for its outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for excellent workers and building a strong trade union organization.
