Thong Duong village currently has 122 households, with 420 people, mainly Tay and Nung ethnic people living there. The village party cell currently has 25 party members. In recent years, realizing that the village's traffic infrastructure is still very limited and people's lives are still difficult, the village party cell determined that in addition to the support of the State, it is necessary to promote the role of the people as the main subject, in which, mass mobilization work must go one step ahead.
Mr. Hoang Van Hoat, Party Cell Secretary, Head of Thong Duong Village said: In order for mass mobilization work to be effective and have high consensus, it is necessary to promote the role of the leader and the responsibility of setting an example of each Party member. Accordingly, the Party Cell has directed Party members and members to step up propaganda of policies and guidelines on implementing the new rural construction program, especially the movement of donating land to build rural roads to the people. At the same time, we also organized many groups and teams to go to each house to propagate and mobilize, thereby gradually raising people's awareness.
A typical example is the donation of land to expand the inter-village road. To have land to build the road, many party members in the village did not hesitate to donate their "golden inch". Party member Trieu Van Dinh shared: With the motto "party members go first, the country follows", in 2021, I discussed with my family to donate more than 1,000 square meters of forestry land to expand the inter-village road. With a convenient road, people can easily exchange and trade goods, and children can go to school more conveniently.
Along with Mr. Dinh's family, over the past years, dozens of other households in the village have donated land to build and expand rural roads. Mr. Trieu Van Slo, a villager, shared: Previously, the 2km-long Thong Duong - Lung Phuc village road was a small, narrow dirt road, making it very difficult to travel. After being informed by party members in the village about the policy of expanding and concreting this road, my family donated over 500 square meters of agricultural land currently growing rice, corn, and vegetables to expand the road.
From 2021 to now, villagers have donated over 50,000m2 of land, contributed 175 million VND to build roads, expand roads to the villages: Khum Man, Lung Phuc, Ban Bang... In addition, the village Party cell has also mobilized over 150 million VND and mobilized people to donate over 200m2 of land to build Pac Duoc bridge. Thanks to the joint efforts and consensus of the people, up to now, over 50% of the village roads in the village have been concreted, traffic infrastructure has been gradually completed, and the rural appearance has gradually changed.
Mr. Luong Dinh Toai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Tri Le commune, commented: In recent years, the emulation movement "Skilled mass mobilization" in Thong Duong village has been widely and effectively deployed, especially in the movement of donating land and building new rural areas. This is also the village with the largest area of donated land in the commune. Thereby, it has contributed to changing the face of the countryside more and more, the material and spiritual life of the people has been increasingly improved. At the same time, it has aroused the potential and created the combined strength of the great national unity bloc in the village in particular and Tri Le commune in general. With those efforts, in September 2025, the collective of Thong Duong village was honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for its achievements in the emulation movement "Skilled mass mobilization" in the period 2021-2025.
It can be seen that the face of the remote village of Thong Duong has been gradually changing. More convenient transportation has opened up opportunities for economic development, gradually helping people escape poverty sustainably, and join hands to build new rural areas.
