Ha Tinh's commercial electricity grows strongly

With many outstanding growth drivers, in the first 10 months of 2023, Ha Tinh Electricity Company's commercial electricity output reached over 1,220 million kWh, an increase of 13.42% over the same period in 2022.

The development of industry and handicrafts in Vung Ang Economic Zone is considered the driving force for the growth of Ky Anh Power's electricity load.

Mr. Dang Don Son - Director of Ky Anh Electricity said: "In 2023, An Viet Phat Ha Tinh Forestry Products Production and Processing Factory for domestic consumption and export (phase 1) invested by An Viet Phat Energy Company Limited in Ky Thinh Ward (Ky Anh Town) will increase its operating capacity. Last August, VinES Battery Factory (Ky Loi Commune, Ky Anh Town) officially came into operation with a consumption of about 600,000 kWh/month in the first phase. At the same time, VinES - Gotion Battery Joint Venture Factory, Vung Ang II Thermal Power Plant are speeding up construction progress... contributing to the increase in commercial electricity".

Ky Anh Electricity is focusing on supplying electricity to serve the construction of Vung Ang II Thermal Power Plant.

In addition, Phu Vinh Industrial Park (Ky Lien Ward, Ky Anh Town) has completed the construction of technical infrastructure works and is attracting investment for domestic and foreign projects. The industrial park has currently attracted 7 projects, of which 5 projects are building infrastructure and 2 projects have come into operation in the mechanical field. In the first phase of operation, on average, these 2 projects consume over 110,000 kWh of electricity per month. Experts say that when the industrial park attracts investment projects, it will create conditions for the commercial electricity output of Ky Anh Power to increase rapidly.

"To develop the load, Ky Anh Power also focuses on developing new customers. According to statistics, in the first 10 months of 2023, the unit has developed 1,385 new customers, including 1,057 residential customers and 328 production and business customers... In the first 10 months of 2023, the unit's commercial electricity products reached over 197 million kWh, an increase of 19.18% over the same period in 2022. The unit is striving to complete and exceed the commercial electricity plan assigned by Ha Tinh Power Company in 2023 of over 219 million kWh" - Director of Ky Anh Power added.

For Huong Khe Electricity, commercial electricity output has also grown quite strongly in recent times and the unit is focusing on completing the target of over 74 million kWh of electricity this year.

Mr. Pham Luong Trung - Director of Huong Khe Electricity said: "In 10 months, the unit has developed nearly 600 new customers, bringing the total number of customers to 37,024. The increasing demand for household electrical appliances has led to an increase in commercial electricity output. In addition, brick factories, garment factories... in the area have come into operation and increased capacity, also contributing to the increase in electricity load. Accordingly, in the first 10 months of 2023, Huong Khe Electricity reached over 65.5 million kWh of commercial electricity, an increase of 16.8% over the same period in 2022".

In general, over the past time, the power companies under Ha Tinh Power Company have made great efforts to complete the assigned commercial electricity output. The main reason for growth is determined to be the economic recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic. In particular, at the end of the year, the business community, cooperatives and people are stepping up production and business, creating more favorable conditions for electricity loads to grow.

According to Mr. Phan Van Anh - Head of Business Department, Ha Tinh Electricity Company: The number of electricity customers as of October 31, 2023 of the company is 472,230 customers, an increase of 1.12% over the same period in 2022. Of which: the number of residential customers is 416,203 (accounting for 88.13%), non-residential customers is 56,027 (accounting for 11.87%).

In October 2023, the commercial electricity output of Ha Tinh Power Company reached 124,419 million kWh, an increase of 23.98% over the same period in 2022. In the first 10 months of 2023, the total commercial electricity output of the company reached 1,220,401 million kWh, an increase of 13.42% over the same period in 2022. In which, there are large growth components such as: electricity load in the commercial - service sector increased by 24.72%, electricity load in the consumer management sector increased by 16.64% over the same period in 2022... Currently, Ha Tinh Power Company continues to proactively deploy solutions, soon completing the commercial electricity output target of 1,363 million kWh in 2023.

The Northern Power Corporation is investing in implementing 110 kV power grid projects in the 2021-2025 period in Ha Tinh with a total investment of VND497.7 billion.

It is known that to ensure safe and stable power supply in the context of growing electricity loads, attention is paid to investment in construction and repair of the power grid in the area. Accordingly, the Northern Power Corporation is investing in implementing 110 kV power grid projects in the period of 2021-2025 in Ha Tinh with a total investment of 497.7 billion VND. For medium and low voltage power grid projects, Ha Tinh Power Company is managing 58 construction investment projects in 2023 with a total capital of over 722 billion VND. In 2023, the company is implementing 61 major repair items with a total capital of over 84 billion VND.
