Positioning and enhancing Ca Mau tourism brand

With the theme “Ca Mau – the southernmost point of the country, where nature and peace converge”, Ca Mau province organized a series of events in response to World Tourism Day (September 27) from September 26-30, aiming to develop tourism associated with nature conservation, preserve cultural identity, and aim for green and sustainable goals.

According to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thanh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau, during this time, the province will organize a famtrip to survey and introduce prominent destinations such as: Dat Mui Tourist Area ; Southern Amateur Music Art Memorial Area and Musician Cao Van Lau; Bac Lieu Prince's House; Hoa Binh 1 Wind Power Plant; and Khmer art program at Xiem Can Pagoda.

The highlight of the event is the “Quintessence of Ca Mau Culinary Culture” Festival at Hung Vuong Square (Bac Lieu Ward) with about 100 booths, including: Ca Mau – Ho Chi Minh City culinary space, OCOP product display, performance, culinary experience. In particular, there will be a Talented Chef Competition to honor and promote the quintessence of Ca Mau cuisine.

In addition, the scientific workshop "Positioning Ca Mau tourism brand in the overall development of national tourism" will gather managers, experts, and tourism associations, thereby announcing many new tour products and routes.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thanh emphasized that this series of activities not only promotes the image of Ca Mau, a land rich in nature, rich in cultural identity and peaceful community life, but also contributes to enhancing culture, cuisine, connecting businesses, artisans, and tourism communities between Ca Mau and Ho Chi Minh City, opening up many new cooperation opportunities.
