Muong Bo Commune evacuated 33 households due to the impact of storm No. 11

On the evening of October 6, Muong Bo commune established many working groups including the police, military, disaster prevention and control teams, along with specialized departments, agencies, and mass organizations to directly propagate and mobilize households living in dangerous areas to move to safety.

By 11:00 p.m. the same day, 33 households with 145 people had been supported by the commune's forces to evacuate to safe places such as relatives' houses, cultural houses, schools, medical stations... The evacuation was carried out urgently, ensuring absolute safety, receiving high consensus from the people.

Households were moved to temporary shelter at schools and cultural houses.

Along with that, at key, high-risk locations, Muong Bo commune has put up danger warning signs, assigned forces to be on duty 24/7, closely monitored weather developments and is ready to support people in case of emergency.

Previously, the commune issued a series of directive documents, requiring party committee leaders, heads of agencies and units in the area not to be subjective or negligent, but to focus on responding to storm No. 11, floods, landslides, flash floods; regularly monitor and update weather developments, review plans to be ready to deploy response measures; at the same time, step up propaganda and mobilize people in dangerous areas to proactively move to safety.
