On the afternoon of August 24, the survey delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) led by Mr. Nguyen Duy Vu, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee, VGCL had a working session with the trade union of Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Parks of Thanh Hoa province.

The survey team conducted a field survey at Annora Vietnam Shoes Co., Ltd. and Nghi Son International Port Co., Ltd.; learned about the operation situation and the care of workers' lives of the trade union in Nghi Son Economic Zone and Thanh Hoa Province's Industrial Parks.

Currently, the Nghi Son Economic Zone and Thanh Hoa Industrial Zones Trade Union has 138 grassroots trade unions with 82,839 union members. Over the years, the trade union has done a good job of taking care of the lives and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers.

Every year, the Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Parks Trade Union has directed grassroots trade unions to coordinate with enterprises to effectively implement legal policies and democratic regulations at the unit. In particular, in July 2024, collective labor agreements were successfully negotiated and signed with 7 shoe manufacturing enterprises in Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Parks, with a total of nearly 65,000 workers benefiting.

In addition, the Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Zones Trade Union has done a good job of propaganda and education , raising legal awareness for union members and workers.
