Small and micro businesses find ways to 'ride the wave'

Explaining the choice of this topic, the representative of OBC compared this time to the most difficult period of business, like a tsunami, small and micro businesses are too fragile. Therefore, OBC hopes to organize like a boat strong enough to support small business owners to overcome this difficult period.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, founder and Chairman of OBC, said that this is an opportunity for businesses to promote their brands to business owners in the Southeast region, and display products to reach B2B customers (direct business-to-business transactions). The event had the presence of 200 businesses with 50 booths introducing products.

"OBC was formed with the vision of connecting trade, training and coaching businesses to optimize their management capacity, gradually integrating the business community with global businesses. OBC is dedicated to bringing experience and understanding of business management, personal development skills and networking skills to build a business community operating with 6 core values: integrity, community, recognition, responsibility, knowledge and positivity," Mr. Hoa shared.

OCB said that the country currently has about 1.7 million small and micro enterprises, and it is forecasted that by 2030, there will be about 2.4 million enterprises. When determined to build OBC, the founders expect to gather 8,000 enterprises to join OBC, and by 2030, there will be 47,000 members.

According to the OCB representative, currently, the Vietnamese small and micro enterprises account for more than 80% of the number of enterprises in Vietnam and create the most jobs. However, this number has few conditions to access and apply the global knowledge platform and advanced tools.
