Lam Dong builds tourism products with its own mark

On the morning of September 12, at Dak Nong Conference Center, Dong Gia Nghia Ward, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a conference to promote and cooperate in developing tourism in Lam Dong province in 2025.

The conference aims to evaluate survey results, propose linkages, cooperation, and build tours and tourist routes linking three regions in the province.

Mr. Hoang Cong Dinh, Director of Dima-Tour Company, hopes that the routes connecting tourist destinations in the 3 areas will be upgraded better.

Through that, organize activities to introduce, promote, and link destinations, outstanding tourism products, and attractive tours associated with promoting communication and promotional activities on newspapers, radio, and social networks.

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Loc, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that Lam Dong is a land that converges unique values ​​of nature and culture: From the poetic Da Lat plateau, the sunny and windy Mui Ne sea, to the majestic Ta Dung primeval forest.

In particular, delegates expressed concerns about traffic and infrastructure connecting the three regions of the province to meet tourists' needs; positioning the tourism brand of Lam Dong province; recommending strengthening tour connections between Lam Dong and Ho Chi Minh City, the South Central Coast and the Central Highlands, as well as expanding international connections...

Mr. Tran Van Tan, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Province Tourism Association hopes that Lam Dong will preserve the characteristics of the province's regions and suggests that there will be a development cooperation program.

Mr. Le Phuc Long, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak shared about the potential for tourism development cooperation between the two provinces.

In response to the discussions and comments from experts and representatives of the units, the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also frankly acknowledged the existing difficulties the industry is facing after the merger. Tourism and service businesses also need to change their mindset in perceiving and evaluating tourism in the new situation, identifying customer segments to attract tourists to Lam Dong.

Mr. Pham Van Manh, Deputy Director of Lam Dong Province Department of Construction, answered questions from businesses in the field of transportation.

Mr. Nguyen Van Loc emphasized that Lam Dong province is committed to accompanying businesses, not leaving them "lonely" and creating the best conditions to work with businesses to rewrite a new map for Lam Dong tourism, realizing the goal of developing sustainable, green and integrated tourism.

Lam Dong will prioritize developing new tourism products, promoting tour linkage activities, mobilizing investment resources and strengthening the support of businesses and the community to gradually realize the goal of building Lam Dong into a leading green, sustainable and attractive tourism center in Vietnam and the region.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism informed that in August 2025, Lam Dong tourism served nearly 2 million visitors, an increase of nearly 30% over the same period; the cumulative number of visitors in 8 months reached more than 13.5 million, an increase of 16%. The number of international visitors continued to grow impressively, estimated at 840,000 visitors in 8 months, an increase of more than 33% over the same period last year.
