During 28 years of wandering in a foreign land, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, despite experiencing many hardships, was still lucky to find the opportunity of her life and began the journey of preserving and spreading the "light" that she called "a gift from heaven".

Born into a poor family with many siblings, Thu Ha did not have much joy in her childhood, but instead had to worry about making ends meet. Accepting to leave her homeland and family to move to Taiwan at a young age, Thu Ha faced all kinds of challenges such as differences in language, culture, living environment, etc. Despite the difficulties, she told herself that she could not back down because she still had her family behind her.

At first, Ms. Thu Ha did not hesitate to do any job, from helping at the market to cooking, doing laundry... saving every penny to support herself and send home.

The opportunity that changed the life of this small but determined woman came from a time when she went to the market and saw a Maitreya Buddha statue made of purple jade. Although she did not have much money, something in her mind urged Thu Ha to spend a considerable amount of money at that time to buy the Buddha statue.

Jade is a type of marble, one of the oldest gemstones in the world . The natural and delicate beauty of jade makes Ms. Thu Ha fascinated and the more she learns, the more she is attracted by the "gift" that Mother Nature has brought to this Earth.

When she had better economic conditions, Ms. Thu Ha did not hesitate to invest a lot in jade. Not only did she buy exquisite jade artifacts, she also spent a lot of time and effort to learn and study about jade. Currently, businesswoman Thu Ha has become a leading jade appraiser in Taiwan, and is also the founder of Vien Ngoc Phuong Trang Suc - a business specializing in high-end jade, reputable in the Taiwanese jade market.

Thu Ha’s endless passion for jade is shown through a story that is quite famous in the jade-playing community in Taiwan. There was a time when she sold 3 of her houses to save all the money to buy jade. Although it was an action that many people said was “crazy and unbelievable”, Thu Ha remained steadfast in her choice.

Today’s success of businesswoman Nguyen Thi Thu Ha is partly due to that determination and perseverance. The opportunity with jade has lit up Thu Ha’s difficult life, and now she also brings that light to many others.

Having participated and been active in many charitable organizations for many years, Ms. Thu Ha believes that the meaning of life is to share, spread love, and reach out to those who need help. Orphans, lonely elderly people, poor families, or overseas Vietnamese who have difficulties when they first arrive in a foreign country... are all supported by Ms. Thu Ha. She not only helps them financially, but also finds ways to create opportunities to change their lives.

Like jade, not too bright, outstanding but elegant and graceful, focusing on the inside rather than the outside. Businesswoman Nguyen Thi Thu Ha does charity not only with money, but also with unconditional love. For her, charity is a long, never-ending journey and throughout that journey, she always maintains the belief that one day, the world will become better thanks to the small actions of each individual.

Ms. Thu Ha believes that "letting go of everything is having everything", so although she loves jade passionately, she also hopes that if one day she is no longer around, all the jade that she has collected for many years will be used to help people, to help life, that is the most precious reward she has received.
