Hai Phong Trade Union Captain: 'Our goal is to win the championship'

On the afternoon of October 4, Hai Phong Trade Union "destroyed" Hanoi Trade Union with a score of 9-0 to enter the semi-finals of the Northern region of the 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament.

This result helps the Hai Phong team officially win a ticket to participate in the final round of the tournament in Ho Chi Minh City.

Sharing with Tuoi Tre Online after the match, Hai Phong Trade Union captain Ta Anh Tung set a goal of winning the Northern region championship to create a boost for the final round:

“The goal of Hai Phong Trade Union every year is to aim for the highest position. Now we will try our best in the upcoming semi-final match to raise the championship of the qualifying round”.

This is the third consecutive year that Hai Phong Trade Union has participated in the tournament, they are always a strong candidate for the championship. Player Ta Anh Tung shared more about the excitement of the whole team: "Every year we look forward to the tournament. The leaders only need to announce the upcoming tournament and everyone will gather together to play immediately, very excited."

With high determination and a long history of achievements, Hai Phong Trade Union is showing that they are one of the brightest candidates for the championship.

Sharing the same opinion with his students, Coach Nguyen Manh Dung (Hai Phong Trade Union) said: "From the beginning, we have aimed to be present in the final round. Today, we are very happy to have achieved that initial goal. But the Hai Phong team does not only aim to be present in the final round, we will continue to fight and be determined to go to the final match of the Northern region."

In 2024, Hai Phong Trade Union believed in the semi-finals in the final round, and the team even won the championship in the first year of organization (2023).

The 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament is jointly organized by Tuoi Tre Newspaper, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor , and Vietnam Football Federation. This is the third consecutive year the tournament has taken place.
