Welcoming the first flight from Ahmedabad, India to Da Nang

The flight carrying the first 120 tourists after the opening of the Da Nang - Ahmedabad route landed at Da Nang International Airport.

After the opening ceremony of the flight route connecting Da Nang city with Ahmedabad city of India on the afternoon of October 23, on the morning of October 24, Vietjet Air flight number VJ1972 carrying 120 tourists from Ahmedabad landed at Da Nang International Airport.

The first tourists from Ahmedabad received a warm welcome from representatives of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City, Vietjet Air, the Central Airports Authority, Da Nang International Airport, and Da Nang International Terminal Operation Joint Stock Company.

The new Da Nang - Ahmedabad route is operated by the Da Nang Department of Tourism in coordination with Vietjet Air with a frequency of 2 round trips per week using Airbus A320 aircraft, 180 seats/flight. The Da Nang - Ahmedabad route (flight number VJ1971) departs from Da Nang at 19:10, lands in Ahmedabad at 23:25 with a frequency of 2 flights/week on Wednesday and Saturday. The Ahmedabad - Da Nang route (flight number VJ1972) departs from Ahmedabad at 00:25, lands in Da Nang International Airport at 6:55 with a frequency of 2 flights/week on Thursday and Sunday.

Deputy Director of Da Nang Department of Tourism Tan Van Vuong said that India is a potential market for Da Nang tourism.

According to information from the Danang Department of Tourism, Ahmedabad is the largest city in the state of Gujarat and the 7th largest metropolitan area in India, with a population of about 5.1 million people. Ahmedabad is an attractive destination, similar to the destination of Danang and Central Vietnam because of the unique combination of long-standing cultural heritage and modern development.

Earlier on the afternoon of October 23, the opening ceremony of the Da Nang - Ahmedabad (India) flight route took place at Da Nang International Airport. The ceremony was attended by Miss Universe India 2024 - Rhea Singha.
