Dong Nai: More groups and individuals support people to overcome consequences of natural disasters

(DN) - Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province for donations and support for people in provinces and cities to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, in recent days, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and the Provincial Red Cross Society have received contributions from many individuals, agencies, units and enterprises.

* On October 21, Vice President of the Provincial Red Cross Society Nguyen Thi Phuong Anh received 700 boxes of instant noodles, 1 ton of rice, 300 cartons of bottled mineral water and 1 quintal of sugar from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dau Giay Commune to support people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters. These gifts were donated by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dau Giay Commune and received support from people in the commune since the beginning of October.

According to Vice President of the Provincial Red Cross Society Nguyen Thi Phuong Anh, up to now the Provincial Red Cross Society has received over 2.6 billion VND and goods worth 1 billion VND (including instant noodles, rice, bottled water, milk, etc.) donated by individuals, agencies and businesses.

Currently, the Red Cross Society of Dong Nai province is continuing to receive donations (money, goods) to help people in provinces affected by natural disasters until October 31, 2025, at the association's headquarters at No. 03, Hoang Minh Chau, Tran Bien ward, Dong Nai province and via bank transfer: Red Cross Society of Dong Nai province, account number 20251234, Vietinbank Binh Phuoc branch, transfer content: name of unit/individual + "Join hands to overcome floods" 2025.

* On October 21, Ms. Pham Thi Diu, Principal of Phan Dinh Phung Primary School (Long Binh Ward, Dong Nai Province) said: Responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai Province, with the spirit of "Mutual love and support", "The whole leaves cover the torn leaves", the collective of cadres, teachers, staff and students of the school actively participated in supporting people in the Northern and Central provinces to overcome the consequences caused by storm No. 10 (Bualoi).

Phan Dinh Phung Primary School currently has 130 cadres, teachers, staff and nearly 4,000 students. After more than a week of launching, the school has received more than 236.4 million VND in support from cadres, teachers, staff and students. The entire amount will be transferred by the school to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province to send to people affected by storm No. 10. Thereby, contributing to sharing and encouraging people to make efforts to overcome difficulties.
