Drone Soccer Vietnam – HDFPV honored at FIDA World Cup 2025

This is the first time a Vietnamese team has received an award at a global technology sports event.

Drone Soccer Vietnam Team – HDFPV consists of young people from secondary schools in Ho Chi Minh City participating.

The FIDA World Cup 2025, organized by the International Drone Soccer Federation (FIDA), will take place in Jeonju (South Korea) from September 24 to 27, bringing together 2,500 athletes and 250 teams from 33 countries and territories. This is a tournament about technology football, combining team tactics and the skills of controlling oval-shaped drones flying through a circle to score goals.

The Vietnam Drone Soccer team – HDFPV includes young people from Nguyen Van Be Secondary School, Nguyen Du Secondary School, Tran Van On Secondary School, Le Quy Don Secondary School, Binh An Secondary School, Hoang Hoa Tham Secondary School and Tran Quoc Toan Secondary School.

You have overcome great challenges in training conditions, equipment systems, and facilities to be honored with the "Future Generations Award" - honoring outstanding contributions in spreading Drone Soccer to the youth community, contributing to building a creative and internationally integrated young generation.

The competition uses an oval-shaped Drone to be controlled through the scoring circle.

Drone Soccer Vietnam – HDFPV is also a project being supported by incubation at the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Business Incubator (SHTP-IC). This project won second prize at the Smart City 2024 competition - an initiative to build a smart city in 2024.

Success at the FIDA World Cup 2025 is the motivation for Drone Soccer Vietnam to continue to develop, becoming a creative and healthy educational playground for young people, aiming to develop high-quality human resources in the field of UAV/Drone in the near future.
