Singer Khanh Phuong posted an article on social media on September 23, explaining and apologizing to the audience regarding the MV "Anh em truoi sau nhu mot" by the group Ngu Ho Tuong, which was suspected of advertising a gambling website... According to the male singer, the group received sponsorship from a company with a request to place the logo in some scenes of the MV. Khanh Phuong affirmed that the group did not know that this logo was related to gambling because they believed in the legality of the sponsor's business license.

The male singer admitted to being "negligent and subjective" in not checking the information carefully, leading to negative consequences and disappointing fans. In the article, Khanh Phuong sent a sincere apology, hoping for the audience's sympathy and committed to cooperate with the authorities to clarify the matter.

Previously, many artists were suspected by netizens of disguised advertising when their previous images and performances showed some connection to betting websites and bookmakers - activities strictly prohibited by Vietnamese law. In particular, recently, there has been a situation where some people have contacted political organizations and local authorities to organize charity and social activities.

During these events, they wear uniforms with logos of gambling and betting websites and applications to carry out activities such as giving gifts and giving money to support people. During the organization of these activities, this group of people record videos, take photos and then post them on social networking platforms such as Facebook, YouTube... to promote their image, create prestige and attract people to participate in gambling and betting websites and applications.

Many online gambling and betting websites also "insert" images in a sophisticated and public way, such as running pop-ups (allowing display) on online book websites, naming fanpages with themes about animals and life but attaching the name of the betting website... The purpose is to take advantage of page followers who like the topics posted by the fanpage to increase popularity. Followers still continuously like images, comment and interact, without knowing that they are helping to promote gambling "disguised".

Faced with the above situation, implementing the plan of the Ministry of Public Security , the Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention and Control to proactively prevent and combat organized gambling and cyber gambling crimes, the Public Security of units and localities have proactively prevented and fought to destroy many lines and gangs organizing football betting over the internet; deployed the construction of an information exchange system in coordination with telecommunications and internet service providers to automatically prevent. Accordingly, from January 2024 to present, the Department has blocked more than 50,000 websites related to organizing gambling, gambling, and advertising gambling activities in cyberspace.

To proactively prevent and combat gambling crimes in cyberspace in general and the act of advertising for organized gambling and gambling activities in particular, the Ministry of Public Security recommends: Every citizen should be fully aware of the good entertainment values ​​of sports , lottery, watching sports, buying lottery with a healthy entertainment mentality; do not participate in betting, buying lottery numbers, lottery numbers... promoting gambling activities in any form.

Local authorities at all levels need to closely coordinate with security forces at the grassroots level to ensure security and order in the area, not allowing the existence of complex security and order gathering places related to gambling and gambling organization; proactively propagandize, educate, and mobilize owners of service business establishments in the area, their relatives and people around to strictly comply with the provisions of the law, not organize betting, and not advertise betting activities.

In case of detecting suspicious subjects related to gambling activities, gambling organizations must promptly report to the nearest police agency for reception and resolution.
