In mid-August, Gia Thanh seedless persimmons, a specialty of Phu Ninh district, began their season. Thanks to the application of intensive organic farming processes, Gia Thanh persimmons had a good harvest this season. With an area of ​​over 100 hectares for harvest, the estimated fruit output reached over 2,000 tons, an increase of about 30% compared to 2023.

Seedless persimmon is a specialty of Gia Thanh commune, with a characteristic delicious flavor, large fruit, elongated shape. When ripe, the fruit is bright yellow, crunchy, sweet. The special thing about this persimmon variety is that when grown in the soil of Gia Thanh, it will have a much larger size and more delicious flavor than when grown in other regions.

Gia Thanh seedless persimmons are packaged to ensure traceability of origin.

It is expected that the peak harvest time will be in the middle of the 7th lunar month. Currently, gardeners have traders placing orders and purchasing products at a purchase price of 30,000 - 50,000 VND/kg, depending on weight and design. To protect the brand of this specialty, the Phu Ninh district agricultural sector will continue to support people in affixing traceability stamps, packaging and preserving the products.
