High school graduation exam 2026 expected on June 11 and 12

On August 11, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Decision No. 2269/QD-BGDDT promulgating the 2025-2026 school year time plan framework for preschool education, general education and continuing education.

Accordingly, students in grades 1, 9, and 12 will return to school at least 2 weeks before the opening day; students in the remaining grades will return to school at least 1 week before the opening day. The new school year will be opened nationwide on September 5, 2025.

Also according to the education framework issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, the first semester will end before January 18, 2026; the school year will end before May 31, 2026. Complete enrollment for first-grade classes before July 31, 2026. Localities must ensure 35 weeks of actual study (18 weeks for the first semester, 17 weeks for the second semester).

The 2026 high school graduation exam is scheduled to take place on June 11 and 12, 2026.
