Having had a passion for baking since childhood, after getting married, Ms. Diem still occasionally made traditional cakes and jams for use at home and as gifts for relatives and friends. In 2017, with the encouragement of everyone, Ms. Diem decided to start a business with traditional baking. At first, it was normal for a few batches of cakes to be spoiled and have to be thrown away. At this time, instead of being discouraged, Ms. Diem spent time and effort to find the cause, and from there learned from experience to overcome it.

In the early years of starting her business, the bean cakes, in cakes, jams... made by Ms. Diem were sold to familiar customers and neighbors. After that, cakes such as sponge cakes, phu the cakes... were ordered by people for parties, engagements, weddings and gradually expanded to customers such as kindergartens and primary schools in the area. By 2022, Kieu Diem traditional jam production facility was officially established, marking a step forward in the entrepreneurial journey of this woman from Ca Mau . The cakes made by Ms. Diem are increasingly reaching a large number of consumers.
During the process of starting a business, Ms. Diem always received support from local authorities and Women's Unions at all levels. This is also the "support" for Ms. Diem to be more successful on her entrepreneurial path.
