To help consumers recognize, access and use more and more Vietnamese branded products, the Department of Industry and Trade coordinated with the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the People's Committees of communes, wards and Tu Son Chau Doc supermarket to organize trips to bring Vietnamese goods to the countryside, with the theme "Vietnamese Goods to the Countryside Festival - OCOP products (One Commune One Product Program) An Giang ".

Present at the "Vietnamese Goods to the Countryside" market in Chau Phu commune, we saw a large number of people coming to visit and shop. The products filled their shopping baskets, mainly regional specialties: Thai Nguyen tea, Tay Ninh salt, Da Lat artichoke tea, Dak Nong sesame candy... and household items. "It's rare to have the opportunity to buy reputable specialties in the commune, I hope there will be markets like this from time to time so that people can shop at reasonable prices", Ms. Tran Thi Lan, resident of Chau Phu commune shared.
After that, the market arrived at Tan Chau ward, so Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang Nga, a local resident, took the opportunity to stop by to shop. She shared: “Vietnamese goods are now of the same quality as foreign goods, and the prices are reasonable. My family often prioritizes choosing household items, kitchenware, etc. of Vietnamese brands. At the market, I can buy many specialties of the whole country without having to go far, such as: Tay Ninh rice paper, Da Lat mulberry jam, Soc Trang pia cake, Phu Quoc fish sauce, etc.
Vice Chairman of Tan Chau Ward People's Committee Nguyen Minh Tuyen said: "We coordinated with Tu Son Chau Doc supermarket to organize a mobile market, bringing Vietnamese goods to the countryside, attracting more than 200 suppliers from 30 provinces and cities across the country to participate, with more than 1,000 essential products. The market focused on introducing OCOP products, regional specialties and goods from reputable Vietnamese brands. This is also an opportunity for cooperatives, OCOP entities of the province and ward to promote, consume products, and connect with the rural market."
Director of Tu Son Chau Doc Limited Liability Company Ta Minh Tam said: “Over the past 10 years, we have accompanied the provincial departments, branches, sectors, and localities inside and outside the province to organize hundreds of shipments and markets to bring Vietnamese goods to the countryside, contributing to strongly responding to the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", contributing to raising awareness, orientation and creating the habit of prioritizing the use of Vietnamese goods among the people. At the same time, promoting production and business, opening up new directions for local products, practically contributing to the market stabilization program".
Thanks to the markets and mobile shipments to remote, border communes, regional specialties and OCOP products are spread throughout the country. In addition, Tu Son supermarket has formed a Vietnam Specialty Center, gathering hundreds of regional specialties and OCOP products nationwide, helping customers discover the flavors of the three regions in one destination. "After visiting the Ba Chua Xu Temple on Sam Mountain, my family came here to buy specialties from the provinces for use and as gifts. No need to go far, so convenient", said Ms. Nguyen Thi Thau, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City.
According to the Steering Committee of the Campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods”, An Giang province creates favorable conditions to support businesses in building brands, expanding product consumption markets; strengthening state management; supporting and connecting trade promotion activities for key products. In addition, market management is strengthened, contributing to preventing counterfeit goods, poor quality goods and commercial fraud, protecting the legitimate rights of consumers.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade, the unit regularly coordinates to bring Vietnamese goods to rural areas and island communes to serve people's shopping needs; organizes provincial business delegations to participate in displaying products at fairs and trade connection conferences, etc., creating brand influence and increasing purchasing power in remote areas. In the near future, the province will organize many OCOP product and specialty events, accompany consumers in the province, connect OCOP products in the Mekong Delta region in 2025, bring products into the modern distribution system, etc. Hopefully, these are positive moves to bring the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" into life.
