The three mascots introduced include: “Maple” - a moose from Canada, “Zayu” - a jaguar from Mexico and “Clutch” - a bald eagle from the United States. According to FIFA, these three mascots represent the spirit of unity, cultural diversity and passion for football, while also reflecting the characteristics of each host country.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino affirmed: “Maple, Zayu and Clutch are full of joy, energy and togetherness, which is the spirit of the 2026 World Cup”. He hopes the tournament will conquer the hearts of fans around the world.
The 2026 World Cup will take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026, with 48 participating teams - the largest number in the history of the tournament.
