Close to the people, close to the work

Comrade Tran Van But, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Thuy commune, grasped the progress of administrative procedures on land for the people.

Immediately after operating the commune-level government, the People's Committee of Son Thuy commune reviewed the remaining cases, which the people expected to be resolved quickly, in which the most prominent were cases related to land, land donation for bridge construction, economic development, and improving people's lives. The Party Committee of the commune, the Party Committee Standing Committee and the People's Committee of the commune assigned members of the Standing Committee, members of the Party Committee of the commune, cadres and civil servants to be directly in charge of the Party cells and villages associated with each job position and professional capacity. Every month, members of the Standing Committee and members of the Party Committee of the commune attend activities at the village Party cells and village meetings. The leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of the commune are directly in charge of key villages in terms of security and order, economic development, and preservation of cultural identity.

Comrade Tran Van But, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Thuy commune, said that since the new commune-level government was put into operation, the People's Committee of the commune had directed the settlement of 4 outstanding land-related cases, receiving high support from the people. To achieve this result, during the settlement process, the Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune, together with heads of specialized departments and divisions, and leaders of the Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, directly went to the households to mobilize and explain. Among them, there were very complicated land-related cases where the Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune directly went to the people, grasped the situation and problems to direct the settlement.

Implementing the policy of building Ninh Lai - Thien Ke industrial park, comrade Tran Van But organized a meeting with the people to propagate this policy so that the people would agree to clear the land. Along with that, dozens of households whose land had to be reclaimed to carry out open-pit feldspar mining in Binh Man village also agreed thanks to the skillful and close-to-the-base mass mobilization work of Son Thuy commune officials, including the role of the head of the commune Party Committee and government.

Comrade Luu Trung Thanh, Chairman of the Commune Fatherland Front Committee, shared: “The People's Committee and the Commune Fatherland Front, socio -political organizations have closely coordinated in all tasks, from assigning cadres and youth union members to each household to guide and assist people in performing online public services to mobilizing people to agree on land clearance to build works and projects in the area. To mobilize, we determined that we must be close to life, close to the people, close to work and closely coordinate with the government.”

Comrade Dang Van Cuong, Party cell secretary and head of Hoang La 2 village, said that when the village mobilized people to donate land to build Ngo Son bridge, some households had to donate land, but the mobilization work encountered many difficulties because the households did not agree. With the working style closely with the people, the responsible and dedicated working spirit of the commune leaders, especially the head of the Party Committee and People's Committee of the commune, who directly went to the people to mobilize and explain, the problems were resolved. Up to now, the bridge has been completed and put into use on schedule.

At the Public Administration Service Center of Son Thuy Commune, hundreds of administrative procedures of the People must be received and resolved every day, but up to now, 100% of the procedures have been resolved on time. There are 6 officers and specialists in various fields. In order to best serve the People, the Commune People's Committee has invested in expanding the area of the center to be spacious, airy and equipped with adequate working equipment.

The positive signals from Son Thuy show that when officials are truly close to the people, listen to the people and act for the legitimate interests of the people, all difficulties and problems can be resolved. The experience from Son Thuy is also a proof that innovation of the apparatus does not stop at organization, but must be affirmed by practical actions, by changes in service thinking and public service style. That is the path to building a truly effective and sustainable administration.
