Today, July 20, the Quang Tri Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine held a meeting to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the Quang Tri Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine on July 22 (1989 - 2024). After 35 years of construction and development, the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of Quang Tri has achieved important achievements, contributing to the socio -economic development of the province.

Quang Tri Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine has actively and proactively advised the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Provincial People's Committee to issue programs, projects and plans related to animal husbandry and veterinary medicine in the province; well implemented breakthrough and strategic tasks on restructuring livestock herds, selecting and crossbreeding high-quality livestock breeds.

Up to now, the livestock sector has had strong shifts towards concentrated, industrial farm farming with 697 small and medium-sized livestock and poultry farms; nearly 100 farms applying high technology, closed, and sustainably linked with businesses; the rate of Zebu crossbred cattle is over 71%; high-yielding, high-quality foreign pig breeds account for over 85% of the total herd....

In addition, the work of disease prevention and control is always considered by the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of Quang Tri as a key task throughout, aiming to effectively implement measures to control and prevent dangerous diseases in livestock, minimizing risks to the lowest level for livestock breeders; guiding and coordinating with authorities at all levels to effectively support people whose livestock and poultry have been destroyed, ensuring prompt re-production for livestock breeders.

The results achieved are clear evidence of the efforts and solidarity of generations of leaders, civil servants, public employees and workers of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of Quang Tri.

Speaking at the meeting, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong sent his best wishes for health, happiness and success to all civil servants, public employees and workers of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of Quang Tri. At the same time, he requested the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine to urgently improve, consolidate and enhance the capacity of the veterinary system at all levels, especially the grassroots veterinary team. Strictly implement measures to develop livestock farming and prevent and control epidemics according to the policies and directions of the Government, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. Promote restructuring of the livestock industry towards modern industry; encourage the development of concentrated farm farming, application of high technology, joint ventures, value chain linkages and ensure disease safety...

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 4 collectives and 4 individuals for their achievements in implementing emulation movements to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the Quang Tri Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine on July 22 (1989 - 2024).
