Phu Nghia Commune Veterans Association "Loyalty - Solidarity - Exemplary - Innovation"

HNP - On September 29, the Phu Nghia Commune Veterans Association solemnly held the 8th Congress of Delegates, term 2025 - 2030, with the participation of 125 official delegates representing more than 2,600 cadres and members of Phu Nghia Commune Veterans Association. Vice Chairman of the City Veterans Association Nguyen Manh Su attended and gave a speech.

The theme of the Congress is to promote the nature of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", the tradition of Vietnamese veterans "Loyalty - Solidarity - Exemplary - Innovation"; Build a clean and strong Association organization, excellently complete all tasks; Contribute to building Phu Nghia commune, increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.

The Phu Nghia Commune Veterans Association was formed on the basis of merging the Veterans Associations of 6 communes: Phu Nghia, Dong Phuong Yen, Dong Son, Thanh Binh, Trung Hoa, Truong Yen of the former Chuong My district. The whole Association has 36 branches, with a total of 2,641 members.

During the past term, the Association at all levels has always proactively disseminated and taught cadres and members and propagated to the people the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies, the Association's political tasks and the Directives and Resolutions of the 13th Central Executive Committee; Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo on "Promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" and Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW of the Politburo; Disseminating and implementing Directive No. 35-CT/TW of the Politburo (12th tenure) "On strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation"; Resolutions on economic, cultural and social development of Party committees at all levels, a total of 66 sessions with 9,406 delegates attending.

The Association has actively mobilized members to help each other develop the economy , improve living standards, reduce poverty, build and repair houses, and carry out charity activities with many practical results. In particular, Project 03 has been implemented to mobilize members to contribute to the fund to support members in difficult circumstances to build and repair houses and dilapidated houses, completing 100% of the plan. Coordinated with the Social Policy Bank, promoted the development of Savings and Loan Groups, and increased annual outstanding loans. Currently, the Commune Veterans Association is managing 09 Savings and Loan Groups with outstanding loans of over 18 billion VND. Well implemented charity activities to visit, pay respects, celebrate longevity, and give gifts to 1,769 people with a total amount of over 800 million VND.

The Commune Veterans Association has promoted its functional role in the Commune Fatherland Front to mobilize members and people to effectively implement movements launched by the Central and local governments; to propagate and mobilize veterans and former soldiers to participate in supporting various funds launched by the Central and local governments, earning over 1 billion VND. Every year, in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the school, it innovates the method of educating revolutionary traditions for the younger generation in various forms, with 19 sessions, with 12,820 youth union members and students of general schools; 12 sessions for 240 youths of military service age. Coordinate with the Military Command, the Police and the Commune's Departments to propagate and educate on national defense tasks and local military work for members and people in the commune, mobilize youth to implement the Law on Military Service, visit and encourage 175 gifts worth 525,000 million VND to young people joining the army. Coordinate with the Police force to propagate and disseminate legal education, propagate crime prevention and social evils in 17 sessions with 10,541 participants. The Association established a self-management team with 180 members, 06 propaganda teams with 180 members participating in preventing, fighting and stopping criminal activities.

The Commune Veterans Association is truly a strong political organization, worthy of being the support and trust of local Party committees, authorities and people.

Entering the new term, promoting the nature of " Uncle Ho's soldiers" and the tradition of Vietnamese veterans "Loyalty, Solidarity, Exemplary, Innovation", the Veterans Association of Phu Nghia commune strives to excellently fulfill the tasks of the Association and the political tasks of the locality, building truly clean and strong Association organizations, worthy of being a reliable support of the local Party Committee, government and people, contributing to building a rich, beautiful, civilized and modern Phu Nghia commune.

Some of the main targets set by the Association for the 2025 - 2030 term are: Strive for 100% of members to have a strong political stance, steadfast in the face of all difficulties and complex developments in the domestic and international situation; in disease and natural disaster prevention. Organize to thoroughly disseminate the Party's Directives, Resolutions, and Conclusions to the entire Association and members in the whole commune, raise political awareness for members to ensure that the rate of members participating in activities and studying reaches 80%, and the Association's staff reaches 100%.

Organize current information for cadres and members 1 to 2 times a year or more. 100% of branches have the Capital Veterans Newsletter and Information, Vietnam Veterans Newspaper. Mobilize 100% of eligible subjects to join the veterans to ensure compliance with the Association's Charter. Annually, 100% of branches complete their tasks well, of which 20% or more complete their tasks excellently; 98% or more of members achieve the title of " Exemplary Veteran ", 98% or more of members' families achieve the title of cultural family.

Coordinate to consolidate, improve, and establish 100% of Veterans Clubs in villages, mobilize 85% or more of veterans to participate in club activities. Effectively manage and maintain 9 Savings and Credit Groups of the Social Policy Bank, with outstanding loans of 20 billion or more, increasing outstanding loans by 8% or more annually, and average internal capital of 850,000 VND/member or more. Strive to have no members or children of members addicted to drugs, committing crimes, or relapsing or reoffending.

Speaking at the Congress, Major General Nguyen Manh Su - Vice Chairman of the Hanoi City Veterans Association and Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Phu Nghia Commune Trinh Tien Tuong praised and acknowledged the achievements of the Phu Nghia Commune Veterans Association in the past term. At the same time, they requested that in the new term 2025 - 2030, the Commune Veterans Association at all levels continue to promote the nature of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", with the motto "Loyalty - Solidarity - Exemplary - Innovation", cadres and members always uphold the spirit of being exemplary, responsible for performing well the functions and tasks of the Veterans Association, worthy of being the core force of the Fatherland Front and the local political system.

Continue to do a good job of political and ideological education for cadres and members, have absolute confidence in the Party and State's innovation policy, and be steadfast in the Party's goals and ideals. Do a good job of educating revolutionary traditions for cadres, members and the younger generation. Based on the assigned political tasks, the Commune Veterans Association needs to concretize them with specific and practical models associated with local patriotic emulation movements. Pay attention to building an increasingly strong Association; coordinate with the People's Committee, the Fatherland Front Committee and local socio-political organizations to create a combined strength in implementing local political tasks, contributing to building Phu Nghia commune into an industrial, service, green and smart craft village center as set out in the Resolution of the 1st Phu Nghia Commune Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

The Executive Committee of the Phu Nghia Commune Veterans Association, term VIII, 2025 - 2030, consists of 21 comrades; the Standing Committee consists of 07 comrades, the Inspection Committee consists of 03 comrades. Comrade Hoang Van Sau - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Nghia Commune was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Veterans Association.
