Rice price today March 15: Not much fluctuation

Regarding rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, currently OM 380 raw rice increased by 50 VND/kg, fluctuating at 7,800 - 7,900 VND/kg; IR 504 raw rice fluctuated at 8,150 - 8,200 VND/kg; 5451 raw rice fluctuated at 8,500 - 8,600 VND/kg; OM 380 finished rice fluctuated at 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice fluctuated at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg.

Regarding by-products, the prices of by-products fluctuate from 7,300 - 10,000 VND/kg. Currently, the price of fragrant broken rice fluctuates at 7,100 - 7,300 VND/kg; broken rice fluctuates at 6,800 - 6,900 VND/kg; the price of bran fluctuates at 9,000 - 10,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Recorded in localities today, the quantity of imported rice is quite good, the price of all kinds of rice is relatively stable. In An Giang , the quantity is quite good, new purchases are slow, the price of all kinds of rice is stable. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), the quantity of raw rice is quite good, the warehouse purchases are regular, the price is stable. In Sa Dec (Dong Thap), the rice is more regular, the price of raw rice is stable, the warehouse is easy to buy.

Sa Dec market canal (Dong Thap), the amount arriving at the wharf is quite good, the market warehouse buys regularly, prices of all types fluctuate little. At An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang ), the amount is moderate, good rice is easy to sell, prices are stable.

At retail markets, prices of rice of all kinds remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates at VND15,000-16,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at VND20,000-22,000/kg; Huong Lai rice 22,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at VND18,000-20,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice 22,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice 21,000/kg; common white rice 17,000/kg; Soc regular rice fluctuates at VND18,000/kg; Soc Thai rice 21,000/kg; Japanese rice 22,000/kg.

Similar to rice, according to an update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the current price of Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) decreased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating at 6,400 - 6,600 VND/kg (compared to mid-week); the price of OM 18 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 6,400 - 6,650 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 5,700 - 5,800 VND/kg; OM 380 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 5,200 - 5,400 VND/kg; IR 50404 rice (fresh) fluctuated at 5,500 - 5,600 VND/kg; and Nang Hoa 9 rice fluctuated at 6,300 - 6,500 VND/kg.

In many localities today, the supply is quite good, the buying and selling transactions are slow. In An Giang, the supply is more in Chau Thanh - Thoai Son, the new rice transactions are slow, the price is stable. In Dong Thap, the rice buying and selling transactions are regular in the 3-crop fields, the rice price is stable.

In Long An, the supply is good, the price tends to decrease slightly, traders mainly buy cut rice. In Soc Trang, farmers offer steady prices, traders pay low prices, buying and selling transactions are slow. In An Giang, the supply of rice is good, the price of fragrant rice in some purchasing partners decreases slightly, new buying and selling transactions are slow.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices today are stable compared to yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 391 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 365 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is at 307 USD/ton.
