On the morning of February 29, in Hanoi, the Ho Chi Minh Institute and Party Leaders of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics organized a scientific seminar: "The work Improving revolutionary ethics, wiping out individualism - Theoretical and practical values", on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the work's birth.

55 years ago, President Ho Chi Minh's article: "Improving revolutionary morality, wiping out individualism" was published in Nhan Dan Newspaper, No. 5409, February 3, 1969, at a time when the world and domestic situation were undergoing many complicated developments. At that time, real socialism in the world had achieved many great achievements in many fields, but in many socialist countries, subjectivism, complacency and bureaucracy in leadership and management also appeared.

In the country, despite being reminded and warned many times by President Ho Chi Minh , a number of cadres and party members still have a subjective and hasty mentality and especially "are still heavily individualistic, thinking of their own interests first in everything. They do not care about "being for everyone" but only want "everyone for themselves".

With a capacity of nearly 700 words, the work, although not long, contains important, systematic, consistent, and rigorous content on the issue of cultivating and training revolutionary ethics and preventing and combating individualism. It is a summary of practice and extremely profound theoretical development, and is an extremely valuable learning document for cadres and party members.
