Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) increased the buying price by 350,000 VND to 84 million VND per tael, and the selling price by 550,000 VND to 85.3 million VND. DOJI Jewelry Group increased the price of plain rings to 84.7 - 85.7, an increase of 600,000 VND in both prices compared to yesterday. At Phu Nhuan Jewelry Company (PNJ), the buying and selling price of plain rings also reached a record level of 84.7 - 85.7 million VND.
Just this week, the price of each plain ring has increased by about 2.5 million VND following the world 's increase. Compared to the beginning of the year, the price of 24K plain rings has increased by more than 22 million VND, equivalent to an increase of more than 35%.
Meanwhile, SJC gold bars remained unchanged this morning because the State Bank has not changed the intervention price. SJC listed the buying and selling price of gold bars at 84 - 86 million VND. The price of gold bars has not changed yet, causing the price of plain rings purchased by gold shops to be equal to or 700,000 VND higher per tael than gold bars.
In the international market, the gold price broke the 2,700 USD mark and set a new record of 2,722 USD per ounce. At the end of the week, the world gold price was anchored at nearly 2,721 USD, converted according to Vietcombank's selling rate, equivalent to 83.1 million VND per tael.
In the country, people are currently not able to buy plain gold rings, as well as gold bars. Plain rings at many big brands are often in short supply. Registering to buy gold bars at the 5 units authorized by the State Bank is also not easy, takes time, the maximum quantity is only 1-2 taels.
