2024 Youth Badminton Tournament attracts nearly 700 athletes

The 2024 National Youth Badminton Tournament is part of the national badminton competition system and is considered a large-scale tournament with up to 10 courts. In particular, this event attracted nearly 700 athletes from 36 provinces, cities and sectors across the country. The tournament was jointly organized by DonexGroup Joint Stock Company, the Department of Sports and Physical Training, the Vietnam Badminton Federation and the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City.

The tournament gathers many players with excellent achievements, promising to contribute to the exciting and dramatic "score chase" for the tournament. Accordingly, athletes from 6 to 17 years old will compete in 5 age groups including: U.9 in men's singles, women's singles; U.11 in men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles; U.13, U.15 and U.17 in men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles. Athletes compete in a knockout.

The tournament is also a useful playground for young athletes.

The National Youth Badminton Tournament is organized according to the plan of the Vietnam Badminton Federation, aiming to help young athletes improve their competition level and professional skills. At the same time, it is a basis for checking and evaluating the quality of training and education of athletes in sectors and localities, thereby discovering and selecting athletes with outstanding achievements to join the ranks of the young generation of talents in the country.

Immediately after the Opening Ceremony, there will be competitions in the following categories: U.13 mixed doubles, U.11 men's singles, U.11 women's doubles, U.15 men's singles, U.13 women's singles and U.17 women's doubles.

The matches in the tournament promise to be exciting and dramatic.
