In two days (May 27-28), at Hoai Duc Stadium ( Hanoi ), the 2023 Hanoisme Open Karate Cup Championship will take place.

This tournament is organized by the Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises in collaboration with Vietnam Karatedo Development Joint Stock Company.

The tournament gathered more than 600 athletes from karate clubs in Hanoi and some clubs from provinces and cities in the Northern and Central regions such as: Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Hoa Binh, Hung Yen, Yen Bai, Quang Ninh, Cao Bang , Phu Tho, Thanh Hoa, Quang Binh...

According to the regulations, athletes will compete in 110 events including advanced and amateur competitions. There are 20 team competitions; 90 individual competitions for men and women.

According to Dr. Mac Quoc Anh - Party Secretary, Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, Head of the Organizing Committee of the award - said:

"This is the first time the Association has hosted a karate tournament with the approval and support of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports .

In addition, the professional coordination from Vietnam Karatedo Development Joint Stock Company will contribute to the tournament taking place most smoothly.

The organization of the tournament, the system of the stadium as well as the equipment serving the stadium are all coordinated by the Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, Vietnam Karatedo Development Joint Stock Company and Hoai Duc Culture, Information and Sports Center to meet the standards of the current Karate Competition Law as prescribed by the General Department of Sports and Physical Training.

Regarding referee work, security work, and medical work, the Organizing Committee has also fully met the requirements.

Mr. Tran Anh Son - General Director of Vietnam Karatedo Development Joint Stock Company, in charge of the tournament's professional matters, emphasized:

“Hopefully, through the 2023 Hanoisme Karate Cup Open Championship, participating units as well as coaches and referees will have the opportunity to improve their professional skills in managing, training and competing in karate at the grassroots tournament system.

In particular, the tournament contributes to selecting many excellent young athletes to participate in major national tournaments organized by the General Department of Sports and Physical Training.

It is known that this is a grassroots tournament with fully socialized funding and has the largest number of athletes expected to participate in the tournament in Hanoi so far.

The 2023 Hanoisme Open Karate Cup Championship promises to bring exciting competitions, fiery, top-notch matches, as well as create an environment for exchange and learning to improve the level of organization, training, and sports competition between units.

This is also an event to celebrate the success of the 6th Congress of the Association for the 2023-2028 term and to celebrate the 28th anniversary of the establishment of the Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises; Contribute to continuing to maintain and promote the movement of physical training following the example of great Uncle Ho, regularly practicing and competing in sports, especially karate among the youth force in the city.
