Ho Chi Minh City National University has just issued a decision to transfer Prof. Dr. Phan Bach Thang - Director of the Center for Research on Nanostructured and Molecular Materials (INOMAR) to take up a position at the University of Health Sciences and temporarily appoint Prof. Thang to hold the position of Rector of the University of Health Sciences from June 1.
Professor Phan Bach Thang was born in 1979, from Thai Binh . He received his PhD in Advanced Materials Science and Technology from Sungkyunkwan University, Korea in 2009, and was appointed Professor of Physics in 2022.
Professor Phan Bach Thang has published more than 200 articles in SCIE journals, including 10 international publications published in scientific journals listed in the Nature index.
He has had a lot of management experience from department level, faculty level, to head of affiliated units from 2009 to present.
In his professional work, Professor Phan Bach Thang has a lot of experience in training, chairing and participating in scientific research projects and has many scientific publications and inventions related to the field of health science.
Up to now, he has published more than 200 articles in SCIE journals, including 10 international publications published in scientific journals in the Nature index. He is the co-author of 2 international patents in the United States and Korea, editor of 1 monograph, and successfully trained 5 PhDs. HIndex = 30.
In March, the Council of Ho Chi Minh City National University voted to recognize Prof. Dr. Phan Bach Thang - Director of the Center for Research on Nanostructured and Molecular Materials to hold the position of Rector of the University of Health Sciences. The University of Health Sciences under Ho Chi Minh City National University was formerly the Faculty of Medicine.
