On the evening of July 28, Dak Lak Literature and Arts Association coordinated with the Provincial Cultural Center to organize a program to introduce authors and musical works in July 2023.

This is an activity to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations (July 25, 1948 - July 25, 2023) and to celebrate Vietnam Music Day on September 3, 2023.

Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Lai Duc Dai and President of Dak Lak Provincial Literature and Arts Association Nie Thanh Mai presented flowers to congratulate the two musicians.

The program introduced and announced the works of musician Duong Tan Binh and musician Chau Phan to the public.

Musician Chau Phan shares his compositions with the public.

Musician Chau Phan is a Khmer ethnic. In 1975, he left his hometown Son Tra (Da Nang) to settle in Krong Bong district and has been involved in cultural work for nearly 40 years. He is currently the Deputy Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Krong Bong district; a member of the Dak Lak Literature and Arts Association. Musician Chau Phan has many good compositions about his hometown, the revolutionary base H9 - Krong Bong, about the land and people of Dak Lak, the Central Highlands and the historical sites that he had the opportunity to visit.

On this occasion, the author sent to the public the songs: “Echoes of Truong Bon”, “Your basket”, “To you on the border island”, “You now stay in Gac Ma”, “Oh afternoon in Krong Bong”, “Oh! Cafe Ban Me Thuot”.

Musician Duong Tan Binh, born in 1975, is a member of the Vietnam Musicians Association, a member of the Dak Lak Literature and Arts Association, a member of the People's Public Security Musicians Association, and Deputy Head of the Vietnam Musicians Association in Dak Lak.

Musician Duong Tan Binh was a core member of the art movement, composing and performing from his high school days to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Police University. After graduating and working in the police force, he maintained his form, creating many compositions on a variety of topics.

At the program, the musician introduced to the public 6 musical works; including old compositions and also compositions released for the first time; namely: "Let the time speak", "Let the child cry", "Dieu Vang Gio", "Nostalgia in the rain", "Khoi Mot Drei Nao" and "Tan vao dem".

In addition to enjoying the works, the audience also had the chance to interact with the two musicians and listen to them share about the circumstances of the works' creation, their meanings, as well as the artists' thoughts and feelings.

The program to introduce authors and musical works is an activity to encourage and motivate musicians to compose many new works, contributing to bringing the works closer to the public, meeting the needs of the masses to enjoy art.
