The first malware containing the Necro malware was Wuta Camera with more than 10 million downloads. Experts discovered that the malware appeared from the updated version 6.3.2.148. By version 6.3.7.138, the malware was removed.
However, security experts say users need to be extremely vigilant with this type of software. Developers can easily embed malicious code in updates without users knowing.
In addition, Kaspersky also discovered that the Max Browser malware contained the Necro malware. Users are advised to uninstall this software immediately and switch to using other browsers.
Necro malware has the ability to infect and automatically download other malicious applications. Hackers can exploit this malware to perform fraudulent registrations or download adware links.
