Hanoi City speeds up research progress on three key traffic infrastructure projects including Nguyen Hoang Ton Street, Giang Bien Bridge and the access roads at both ends of the bridge, and National Highway 1A.

The Office of the Hanoi People's Committee has just issued Notice No. 614/TB-VP dated September 25 on the Conclusion and direction of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan at the meeting to listen to the report on the implementation of the preparation of the Pre-feasibility Study Report for 3 Investment projects to build Nguyen Hoang Ton Street from the headquarters of the Tay Ho District Party Committee (old) to Ring Road 3 according to the planning; Investment project to build Giang Bien Bridge and access roads at both ends of the bridge; Investment project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 1A, the section from the new Duong Bridge to the end of Gia Lam District (old).

Accordingly, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan directed the research and proposal of investment plans for the above 3 investment projects as important and urgent contents, which have been paid attention to, directed and assigned to the former Department of Transport (now the Department of Construction) by the city leaders.

In particular, the city leaders requested the Department of Construction to preside over, focus on researching, organizing and implementing the direction of the City People's Committee, urgently advising, proposing and reporting to Hanoi City.

For the project to invest in building Nguyen Hoang Ton route from Lac Long Quan street to Ring Road 3 according to the planning, the city assigned the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Planning and Architecture and relevant units to urgently study and review the regional traffic planning; propose route options, route cross-sections, and canal design options according to the planning along the route; comprehensively analyze and evaluate the need to ensure synchronous connection of the city's and regional traffic infrastructure systems such as Ring Road 2, Ring Road 2.5, Ring Road 3 and Route 5 into the center of Tay Ho Tay urban area.

In particular, developing traffic infrastructure connecting and synchronizing with the TOD depot Xuan Dinh area of ​​urban railway line No. 2.1, Nam Thang Long - Tran Hung Dao... On that basis, the Department of Construction urgently completes the project investment proposal dossier.

For the Giang Bien Bridge Construction Investment Project and the approach roads at both ends of the bridge, the city assigned the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Planning and Architecture, the Institute of Construction Planning and relevant departments, branches and People's Committees of localities to comprehensively assess the impact of changing and shifting the route plan, especially the level of impact on residential areas and works on both sides of the Project route.

On that basis, the Department of Construction presides over and coordinates with relevant departments, branches and units to research, review and make a comprehensive assessment to establish and complete the project's investment proposal and plan.

Regarding the Investment Project to Renovate and Upgrade National Highway 1A, the section from the new Duong Bridge to the end of Gia Lam District (formerly), the City People's Committee basically agreed with the research content, report, and proposal of the Department of Construction; agreed to propose the selection of the investment form (Investment Project to Renovate and Upgrade National Highway 1A, the section from the new Duong Bridge to the end of Gia Lam District (formerly) to be implemented in the form of public investment.

The Hanoi People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Planning and Architecture, the Institute of Construction Planning, the People's Committees of localities and relevant units, on the basis of comprehensive research, synchronizing the route plan of the Investment Project with relevant railways, roads and urban technical infrastructure to assess the suitability, effectiveness and feasibility when implementing site clearance work.

In addition, for the investment project to build route No. 5 into the center of the West Lake New Urban Area, the city assigned the People's Committee of Xuan Dinh Ward to urgently speed up the progress of site clearance, striving to complete it in 2025.

The City Civil Works Construction Investment Project Management Board is responsible for coordinating with the People's Committee of Xuan Dinh Ward to organize the implementation of related tasks, ensuring the progress of site clearance. The City Civil Works Construction Investment Project Management Board coordinates with the Urban Railway Management Board to review and unify related contents as a basis for organizing the implementation of the construction of the Investment Project of Route No. 5 to ensure synchronous connection with the Xuan Dinh depot area of ​​the Urban Railway Construction Investment Project No. 2.1 Nam Thang Long - Tran Hung Dao on schedule and ensuring the requirements of urban landscape and environment.
