This is the 5th consecutive time (since 2020) that the tournament has been organized by the Vietnam Shooting Federation with 100% funding from socialized sources.

Athletes competed in 33 events, including: Compak Sporting flying disc shooting; Trap flying disc shooting, Skeet men's, women's, mixed team; air pistol, rapid fire pistol, sport pistol and 3-position rifle men's, women's, mixed team, portable air rifle. Athletes competed in 34 sets of medals (including: 28 sets of individual medals, 28 sets of team medals and 5 sets of mixed event medals).

As a result, the Hanoi delegation competed excellently, winning 22 gold medals, 15 silver medals and 14 bronze medals, thereby winning the first place overall. Sharing about the tournament, Chairman of the Vietnam Shooting Federation Do Van Binh said: The National Shooting Championship organized by the Federation has become an official annual competition, a festival for Vietnamese shooting athletes and coaches. This is the largest shooting tournament in 2025, with 13 athlete delegations from localities and units nationwide participating. This year's tournament is considered successful in terms of organization scale, number of participating athletes and rich competition content. In addition to pistol, rifle, Trap, Skeet flying disc..., this year is the second year that flying disc shooting (Compak Sporting) has been included in the medal competition at the high-performance shooting tournament. This is also an opportunity to search for and discover many young talents, continue to nurture and provide additional training for the National Shooting Team.

2025 is the first time that Vietnamese Shooting will compete in the Compak Sporting event at the Southeast Asian Shooting Championship (SEASA) in October 2025 and the 33rd SEA Games (December 2025) in Thailand. Investing in and developing Compak Sporting is the right direction in the development strategy of Vietnamese shooting, in order to keep up with the development trends of the region and the world.
“Promote Vietnam's shooting achievements at ASIAD 2023, Olympics 2024, Asian and Southeast Asian shooting competitions in 2024 and 2025. The Federation believes that coaches and athletes will continue to strive to train and achieve the highest results at the Southeast Asian Shooting Championship and SEA Games 33 in 2025; compete to accumulate points so that Vietnam Shooting can have 2-3 athletes officially qualify for the Olympics 2028 and hopefully win medals at ASIAD 2026 and Olympics 2028,” Mr. Do Van Binh added.
At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded individual and team medals in the competitions on October 2; and also awarded medals and rotating flags to the teams that achieved first, second and third place in the tournament.
