Hanoi: Visiting and congratulating pagodas on the occasion of Vu Lan Festival

On the afternoon of September 8, on the occasion of Vu Lan Festival of Buddhist calendar 2569, Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Hanoi city Nguyen Sy Truong visited and congratulated at the pagodas: Quan Su, Tran Quoc and Ly Trieu Quoc Su.

At Quan Su Pagoda, Most Venerable Elder Thich Thanh Nhieu, Standing Member of the Council of Evidence, Permanent Vice President of the Central Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha; at Tran Quoc Pagoda, Most Venerable Elder Thich Thanh Nha, Standing Member of the Council of Evidence of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, abbot of the pagoda; at Ly Trieu Quoc Su Pagoda, Most Venerable Elder Thich Bao Nghiem, Vice President of the Council of Trustees of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Head of the Central Propagation Committee, Head of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Hanoi City... welcomed the delegation.

Director of the City Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions Nguyen Sy Truong sent his best wishes to the monks, senior monks, and all monks, nuns, and Buddhists.

The Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of the city presented flower baskets from the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi city, and affirmed that Buddhism has made positive contributions to the overall development of the capital and the country. At the same time, he highly appreciated the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, especially the pagodas that organized the solemn and meaningful Vu Lan Festival, showing deep concern for preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural values ​​of the nation.

Comrade Nguyen Sy Truong expressed his hope that in the coming time, dignitaries will continue to encourage monks, nuns, and Buddhists to promote the tradition of solidarity, well implement the Party's guidelines, policies, and laws of the State, promote patriotic emulation movements, social security work, contribute to strengthening the great national unity bloc, and contribute more to the city's socio -economic development.

In a solemn and warm atmosphere, Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu, Venerable Thich Thanh Nha, Venerable Thich Bao Nghiem all emphasized: This year's Vu Lan ceremony is even more meaningful as it coincides with the National Day celebration on September 2. This is a special blend between the nation's tradition of filial piety and the country's spirit of patriotism and peace. The filial piety of Buddhism and the spirit of national solidarity have blended together to create a sacred and proud holiday.
