Established in 1962 with the predecessor of the National Defense Motorcycle Club, after 63 years of construction and development, the Hanoi Sports Motorcycle Club has become one of the units with rich traditions, closely associated with major political , cultural and sporting events of the capital and the country. From participating in escorting and welcoming international delegations, ensuring safety for sports tournaments such as the SEA Games, to running cycling races, the Club has left its mark with professionalism, dedication and a high sense of responsibility.

Particularly for the Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run, for more than two decades, the Hanoi Motor Sports Club has always been a "loyal companion".
