Two concerts to celebrate HBSO's 30th anniversary

On the nights of August 25 and 26, at the City Theater, the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet, Symphony Orchestra and Music Theater (HBSO) organized two special concerts by Meritorious Artist Bui Cong Duy and invited guests.

This is an activity within the series of programs celebrating the 30th anniversary of the founding of HBSO. Conducting the two concerts is the famous Japanese conductor Honna Tetsuji.

The two concert programs presented the audience with five famous concertos. On the night of August 25, the artists performed Concerto grosso for violin, piano, percussion and strings by musician Nguyen Manh Duy Linh, Duet for violin, viola and orchestra, in E minor by German composer Max Bruch and Duet for violin, cello and orchestra, in A minor by Johannes Brahms.

On the night of August 26, the program opened with the work Vietnam Four Seasons for 2 violins and orchestra by Dang Hong Anh. The program will conclude with the Concerto for three violins, cello, piano and orchestra - a special work by the musical genius Beethoven.
